I cried during this scene cause, I mean....imagine calling your dad as another person and not be able to tell that it's you :'( such a beautiful and sad scene!
I really liked how this movie magnificently transferred from a brain challenging plot to a heart touching story. I didn't have to be so tense and working my brain to full capacity like I was watching Inception (not that I hate Inception. I love both films because they are awesometacular.)
He should have a few Oscars by now. However he does have a BAFTA and many other awards. He's going back to Broadway next year. He'll eventually get a Tony, and an Oscar.
@@adarshmishra9685girl those folks so frigging immature. They were not even involved in the relationship. I like Taylor, but swifties are just plain annoying 🙄
And also has a bit of quantum leap influence as well. That was Scott Bakula as the dad's voice. It's like a nod to the series. Director was a fan of quantum leap.
It is revealed, he's actually dead but part of his brain remains "ignited". He saves the people in his memory and continues to live on in a parallel world in the end.
I never realized that Scott Bakula said "Oh, boy" in this conversation. I really like this movie, but him being in this uncredited cameo really made the movie for me.
Have You noticed, he gets off the train to attack the motion sickness guy, the train explodes.., they fight some more. he is still alive because he did not die on the train, he had already changed his hosts life.., till he fell on to the tracks, and was killed by a passing train.
This so reminds me of the scene in the pilot episode of Quantum Leap when Sam calls his dad and pretends to be a distant cousin. So awesome that they got Scott Bakula to play his dad in this movie. Loved it!
Amazing movie and it was surprising how humane it was for a sci-fi flick. The scenes where he learns that he died and calls his father for some closure even though he believes it's a simulation..the way the officer lady goes beyond duty to end the suffering of a veteran who has only the husk of him left alive.. very touching movie you don't see movies like that often
Epic scene because The Man, Scott Bakula, says his trademark line from Quantum Leap, 'Oh boy.' One of my favorite movies of all time next to Moon and the Bourne movies
***** Yes Scott Bakula was in the movie as I have seen Source Code a half dozen times. And if you look at the credits you will see Scott Bakula's name as Colter's father (voice) www.imdb.com/title/tt0945513/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
This was a random movie that came up one night and I didn't even know the name of it... But it really makes you think about life and true happiness. The ending scene really got me too.. bitter sweet
man everytime i watch this scene i think about the arguements ive had with my dad and even tho we live 2 hrs apart, id like to be able to hug him and say i love u
Man, this scene crushes my heart. Watched in 2014 first. I remember how broken i felt. I still have my father alive. It's a blessing from God that he is alive. I can't imagine ever losing him.. May God give him longer life beyond my own life. Both my parents. I can't imagine losing either of them in my lifetime. I want them to outlive me. I have always had a harsh relation with my father. On the surface, I am always kinda gruff or rude to him. But deep down I know how much I love him but I don't let it show. I hope that one day I can have the courage to tell him that I love him more than my life itself.. Scenes like this make you appreciate the fact that you have both your parents alive
My friend lent me this film and at the time I watched not really bothered about it and it turned out to be one of the best films I've ever seen and deffo the best film of 2011. And thanks for uploading this with good sound and picture quality.
wow such an beautiful emotional scene started to feel like crying when he was talking to his dad the way he expresses his feelings to his dad it was beautiful and at the same time sad also😔😔
Quantum leap is awesome I still watch it nearly every day. Glad this movie was made. There so many hints and Easter eggs that this was the Quantum Leap movie. You’ll find them when you watch back a few times 👌👍🏻
I just wanna say to my father than may be I'm loser .. :( but, he's the best father and I'm proud to be his son.. I just wanna Say sorry for letting you down.. if would die ..My wish would be these words ..That scene was really touching"source code" he's lucky in the end at least he saved the people ..The memories happy ending 👍
any better sci fi??? PLEASE. took two days to finish it..the 3rd day i watched it all over again, feel too wasted to watch it all at once cuz it's worth the time/energy to slow digest it all, in both emotion and intelligence. cant never be fed enough of the info of multi-dimension-reality-probability, wish they'd do the sequence. just realize director is son of David Bowie_he got the other epic"Moon" and is the announced director of "Warcraft" 2015.
Since he's in an another reality, could he go see his dad and actually get to talk with him? Maybe not try to reveal himself and his situation because it may cause the dad mental stress.....but just to see him?
When you guys keep talking about the "messed up sound" and the "song," are you just referring to the soundtrack? Or did the video uploader change the audio? Not that this movie doesn't have an _amazing_ soundtrack
6:42 AM 5/29/2015 **hears voices in head** I got screwed over the entire time? My adoption dad couldn't see it in the movie. Hes got alzheimers. YOU SEE IT NOW? I have no clue what happened behind my back. Yes its me in synonyms/metaphors. I don't watch tv anymore or the news. I don't know whats going on. No one wants to say anything to me in person. Prince Harry is the gunner (hes actually the a helicopter pilot/gunner) Im the pilot. IM ON TV... SO ITS AWKWARD. GHOSTS?
4:11 AM 12/9/2019 My gunner survived atleast right? He was shot down and got in a gun fight on the ground while his gunner was wounded? Explosion almost killed him RPG hit next to him?
I cried during this scene cause, I mean....imagine calling your dad as another person and not be able to tell that it's you :'( such a beautiful and sad scene!
"How're you doin sir?" And I started to cry.
I really liked how this movie magnificently transferred from a brain challenging plot to a heart touching story. I didn't have to be so tense and working my brain to full capacity like I was watching Inception (not that I hate Inception. I love both films because they are awesometacular.)
So well acted.
I teared up when I was watching this. So emotional.
Yeah me too
Same i watched it 1 min ago
Me too. Masterpiece
his facial expression at 0:45 really gets to me
0:45
I agree. Its the expression of that rush of emotion and you fighting to control it
If this scene doesn't get to you, you have a heart of stone.
why the fuck, doesn't he have an oscar yet?
What
@@factofobia7840maybe cuz people hate him for dumping taylor swift

This movie has such an original story, I loved it.
@kupis1408 yeah it was very similiar to Deja Vu movie but way better!
And also has a bit of quantum leap influence as well. That was Scott Bakula as the dad's voice. It's like a nod to the series. Director was a fan of quantum leap.
@kupis1408 edge of tomorrow has so much familiarities with source code
one of the best sad scenes.... made me cry
It is revealed, he's actually dead but part of his brain remains "ignited". He saves the people in his memory and continues to live on in a parallel world in the end.
One of the best movies i've ever seen. Didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Saw it, and it completely blew my mind.
I never realized that Scott Bakula said "Oh, boy" in this conversation. I really like this movie, but him being in this uncredited cameo really made the movie for me.
It's a nod to QL! 😉
Gyllenhaal is amazing in this scene.
When I first saw his body... I cried at the movies.
When he was talking to his dad I did too. His dad hated his son because of something.
I wish i can make the same phone call to my grandfather..
This scene gave me watery eyes.
Have You noticed, he gets off the train to attack the motion sickness guy, the train explodes.., they fight some more. he is still alive because he did not die on the train, he had already changed his hosts life.., till he fell on to the tracks, and was killed by a passing train.
I loved him so much
I wish i could’ve told him that
He knows it
So simple yet so powerful ❤️
My Dad and I loved Sci-Fi. He passed in June.....how I wish I could call home and talk to him again......I miss him so much....
Wow, this scene still brings tears to your eyes, even after all this time.
This so reminds me of the scene in the pilot episode of Quantum Leap when Sam calls his dad and pretends to be a distant cousin. So awesome that they got Scott Bakula to play his dad in this movie. Loved it!
It’s the Unofficial Quantum Leap movie. That’s why there’s so many similarity’s 👍🏻 The director loves the show
And the iconic "oh boy 0:29
It is a tribute to a great show! I was in shock that it was Scott, and in tears by the end...
Amazing movie and it was surprising how humane it was for a sci-fi flick. I just watched it and when I found out he wasn't alive I teared up but held it in until this part; my eyes created two waterfalls
Epic scene because The Man, Scott Bakula, says his trademark line from Quantum Leap, 'Oh boy.'

He never makes an actual physical appearance. He just makes an audio appearance in that scene (it is near the end of the movie).
Anytime mate.
Great scene in its own right, but I love how it knowingly leans into its connection to QL here. Very nice.
This was a random movie that came up one night and I didn't even know the name of it... But it really makes you think about life and true happiness. The ending scene really got me too.. bitter sweet

He didnt save those people. It was his alternative reality.
Still one of the greatest
Quantum leap Easter egg
I tipped Source Code Emotional Scene and I'm happy this is the first result I got :).
Scott Bakula a.k.a. Danny the Cat from Cats Don't Dance :)
"Oh boy"
I just watched this movie and when I saw this scene I just cried and I dont even know why
this reminds me of the first episode of Quantum Leap when Sam called his father.
fun fact, the voice of the father is Scott Bakula, the star from quantum leap, the cycle is closed
those eyes
I m in ❤ with this scene
Nem me lembrava dessa parte, infelizmente é um filme underrated 😔
