Sir i have another way to find the n. Idk if its a smart way or not but. I normally just write the diffrence with the n. Then i go to the first number in the sequence and i just go back from how much the n number is.
If you’re told that’s a linear sequence: -5 +3d = 11 And solve for d. Once you have d you can work-out what x, y and z are (add to to -5 to get x, d to x to get y and d to y to get a). Hope that helps 😊
Wooow Thank u soooo much,sir!!! I have watched a million videos but yours is the best! Thank you!!!

Thank you so much. This help me with my revision studying.
Brooo thank you so much
Really glad it helped 😊
a is the first difference
u1 is the first term
a=-3
a+b=u1
-3+b=14
b=17
forkula=un=-an+b
un=-3n+17
hats off can't believe i have understood it
Excuse me, I want to ask
Why is this sequence different with the sequence that I learned in Algebra 1?
Solve -5, x, y, Z , 11
Thx

And solve for d.
