I always wondered why I liked the villain’s more, and I think it might be because when they get on the floor down on their knees for her and only her, something in me stirs. A hero would sacrifice her to save the world, showing that they are indeed pure hearted and honest. But a villain would tear the world apart if she got hurt, that’s a promise. They seem selfish, manipulative and rude to everyone around, but he treats her like a queen , his and only his, sitting beside him on a throne with her crown. I think villains are misjudged and that most of the time we don’t get see their story. For if we knew, the hero’s might not seem so full of glory, monsters are made, not born. And any soul tortured, confused and abused incidentally would not have time to mourn. So next time I defend the villain of the tail. Remember that they too, were once broken and frail... It tends to get frustrating after a while when people describe burning down the world for their lover would make them an anti-hero. No, that would technically make you an anti-villain. (TL;DR: Anti-heroes are the good guys we root for who have villainous characteristics; Anti-villians are the bad guys we root against who have sympathetic and understandable goals. Then I started on villains and while I still love em they also have to abide by the basic principle of bad guy. Yeah, anti heroes are those who use questionable, sometimes abhorrent, methods for a good cause. It’s a classic ethics question - what do you do with a killer? Well, anti heroes pride themselves on being the ones who find, hunt, and finish those people. They have justice, just not the legal kind. Think John Wick, a man who was wronged by a group of people, and who would kill many people to get his justice. That’s an anti hero.

There are no heroes or villains. Just different people with different agendas, and different ways of accomplishing them.
I always wondered why I liked the villain’s more, and I think it might be because when they get on the floor down on their knees for her and only her, something in me stirs. A hero would sacrifice her to save the world, showing that they are indeed pure hearted and honest. But a villain would tear the world apart if she got hurt, that’s a promise. They seem selfish, manipulative and rude to everyone around, but he treats her like a queen , his and only his, sitting beside him on a throne with her crown. I think villains are misjudged and that most of the time we don’t get see their story. For if we knew, the hero’s might not seem so full of glory, monsters are made, not born. And any soul tortured, confused and abused incidentally would not have time to mourn. So next time I defend the villain of the tail. Remember that they too, were once broken and frail... (I found this and thought I’d share)

Fellas. The difference between an anti-hero and a villain is that the anti-hero lacks courage, trustworthiness, and all of the typical attributes assigned to a heroic character; they're morally grey characters. (EX: Severus Snape.)
And another thing, the difference between anti-villains and heroes is that anti-villains do bad things with understandable, good-intentioned goals in mind. (EX: Android 16)
Meanwhile heroes do good things to achieve their good-hearted goals.
It tends to get frustrating after a while when people describe burning down the world for their lover would make them an anti-hero. No, that would technically make you an anti-villain.
(TL;DR: Anti-heroes are the good guys we root for who have villainous characteristics; Anti-villians are the bad guys we root against who have sympathetic and understandable goals.
Heroes are the good guys with heroic traits; villains are the bad guys with the villainous traits.)

Ok now here’s why I’m obsessed with antihero’s. A hero has the responsibility of being the just and good guy: which got stale when I was 5. Then I started on villains and while I still love em they also have to abide by the basic principle of bad guy. With an antihero they can essentially follow any rule they want, best of both worlds, do whatever da fug dey want and maybe save an orphanage ya know
An anti hero is a hero who lacks heroic qualities. Not what you describe. A coward who's afraid of anything but still does good is an anti hero. God damn Steven universe is an anti hero

Well, anti heroes pride themselves on being the ones who find, hunt, and finish those people. They have justice, just not the legal kind. Think John Wick, a man who was wronged by a group of people, and who would kill many people to get his justice. That’s an anti hero.
