    Sole would u do this same process if the crack was a lot bigger say 1/2inch of gap same area as what u showed here?

      Lamu Taafua sounds like a big crack uce! I just did one that was about 1/16th” big. I ended up wedging plywood with glue into the crack and then screwing it. If you want you can email me some pics and we can go from there.

    Hello Sefa...just came across this video while surfing your site. Again...this is a great tutorial. A friend of mine has a toere that has a crack in the body of the drum. If you were to use the drum you demonstrated on in the video, the crack in his drum runs vertically along the body, just a few inches away from the patch. Will you be demonstrating how to perform a repair of this nature in the future? That would be great to see. Also, if he was interested in maybe having you do the repair what's the best way to contact you?

      Thanks John! I think I know what you are saying. That kind of repair would need a patch or inlay. I’ve been getting a few request so it looks like I’ll have to make another video for that as well. If you dont mind, email me a few pics so I can make sure we’re on the same page. SefaDrums@gmail.com
      Thank you

    Some of the finish is coming off my patch around the seam. Would wood glue help fill the patch?

    • @SefaDrums
      @SefaDrums  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would actually use epoxy. Thats what they use to glue the patch on. I use LocTite heavy duty epoxy. You can find it at Home Depot or Amazon.

      SefaDrums ok uce. After applying it do I need to varnish it again?

    • @Skeezahplza
      @Skeezahplza 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SefaDrums or jus tape it off to try no limit clean up?

    • @SefaDrums
      @SefaDrums  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, tape off the surrounding area. You might have to touch it up with a little varnish after. Also, dont let the epoxy fully dry on the tape. Remove the tape when it gets a little tacky
