    hello, 2 errors slipped into my video. First, there is the date 2083 which in reality is 2023. The second is the Noor solar power plant. This one is in Morocco and not in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, these are mirrors which reflect on the central tower and not the other way around.
    I'm sorry.

    They are saying only 2.4km will be completed by 2030. If they continue at that rate, it will take well over 400 YEARS to complete.

      It's been scaled back because investors are concerned over some factors. So they will focus on completing the first module which is 2.4 KM, housing approx 300k people. If the execution met the expectation, then they might decide to continue with corresponding modules.

    Riyadh is not properly developed. Transportation is the biggest issue in Saudi Arabia. Neither there is proper housing structure like developed countries. Should have fix that issue first instead of building a new city in a ghost city.

      It's hard to believe the government is unaware of this issue or incapable of finding a solution. The massive Riyadh Metro project, with its six lines, 85 stations, and a capacity of 1.16 million daily riders, is a testament to the government's commitment to addressing traffic congestion. Its imminent launch should provide a significant relief.
      As a long-time Riyadh resident with extensive experience across the Kingdom, I've witnessed remarkable progress in the past seven years. The speed at which the nation has developed is truly astounding. It's a testament to what can be achieved in a relatively short timeframe. However, as the saying goes, 'a tree that bears fruit is often stoned.'

    The vision of this particular man is not simply how he wants to build such a city but the control of the "imprisoned" within it. Don't forget his behavior towards those who didn't want to leave those places. He just wants the control!

  • @cellayth
    @cellayth 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

    I think the line is very unrealistic. I assume this will be quiet expensive to live in but at the same time who wants to live in such a prison? Compared to all the places on the world it would come last on my list. Saudi is building it to become famous really quick after it has been sleeping for decades. In my opinion it’s not attractive and I have not seen many positive comments regarding the line. Alone cutting an environment into 2 is insane , all those animals which can’t pass anymore. As well the mirrored surface which will emphasize the heat around it and multiply it. I don’t know who came up with this shitty project . But good luck 🍀

      The idea of making this city already weird. Even if they succeed in making the city complete in just 50 years, they literally just wasting their money and who would want to live there? I mean, the city is very isolated tho and there seems like no way to go to the other city or how did you even get there.
      City is became success only if that is a place for many people to live like working there, having many resources, good education, good healthy something whatever it is in english, and many more. The city feels like a place that just for traveling and not to live.

    It's interesting psychology, but for a project like the Burj Khalifa, the architects and engineers and all the decision makers were interested in using their skills to bring the project to life because they believed in it and really wanted to see it succeed.
    I wonder how a project like this will progress when someone as intelligent as an architect or engineer can see that the whole thing is unrealistic and unwise. Surely the effects of that feeling aren't good for the future of the project.

      money is the least problem...as an engineer i can tell u this will not be built...it is a scam to show that they r working on it, for investment...but from engineering and architektual side this is NOT possible to build...theoretically possible, but with huge cost on a side of safety and functionality...

      Also, saudi is having many free things nowadays. Even moslems through world can go school there for free AND also get monthly living cash. And so many things free, if you do try travel there. So i think money is not really a problem to just build part of it. The problem is more about technologies and technical issues

    Looking at the progress over several years, it's evident that only earthwork has been widely carried out so far. Saudi Arabia seems to underestimate the complexity of construction, which often leads to significant delays, especially with new project designs being attempted for the first time. From the outset, I was absolutely certain that the project would fail. It's not just about money; there are numerous issues such as unrealistic and absurd resource mobilization, inefficient processes, and low productivity within the Saudi system. Success is unattainable without a completely well-organized and highly efficient national system, coupled with a shift in Saudi people's mindsets.
    Upgrading a country in a short period of time is not an easy task. Saudi Arabia is still not an attractive country to people around the world, and it will take a long time for that mindset to change. I hope that from now on, the Saudi government will take time, spanning at least 30 years, to implement realistic changes gradually, one step at a time.
