these meta reports are more useful than ever to me since i’ve been playing like one game a week lately lol. i keep taking longer and longer breaks ever since the matchmaking changes and it’s getting harder and harder to get back on the horse.
@@TshirtSeller I'm still confused as to what that does, does it actually change who you play with? I've been using it and it has improved my matches only slightly, I still get some bad ones here and there with people that just die 10 times and leave
you're always going to get people like that no matter what option they give you lol, look at league where there's been punishments for the past 10 years and people still rage quit sometimes
@@vokuhila6913 Yeah, i don't think there is any good solution to this. If you make leaving too punishing it wouldn't be fair to people that leave due to valid reasons or their computer crashing or power going out or whatever. And there would still be people that would just accept the severe punishment and rage quit anyway. The best solution I think is to have separate modes for people that expect a more casual match or a more competitive one. I hope they bring this feature back on full release or maybe even during the public beta
I felt like before he was really good byt only if he popped off during lane/early game. If not, it was constantly a race to catch up. Now he is just all around powerful
As a Yamato main, it made me so happy to see you recommend Ronald's build! It's the one I most regularly use and if you go into his chat he is always super willing to provide helpful feedback. Great streamer and player all around.
Interesting thing I discovered, and I am not sure if anyone already knows, but you can actually extend the unstoppable from mirages ult using duration extender and arcane surge etc, even though it does not display that you can. I think I managed to get it to about 6 seconds, so technically, you can arcane surge, teleport with ult, have unstoppable for 6 seconds, activate unstoppable the item for 6-7 seconds, refresher, teleport again you end up with like 20 seconds of not being able to be stunned, its pretty great
Yeah I've been cooking some stuff with duration extender/decay and Mirage ult, not sure it's worth full commiting but it's very value if you max the ult. Thanks for the comment!
I've found pretty good success with Infernus by buying a handful of 500-1250 items -- get some firerate (faster burn application), spirit lifesteal, spirit damage (extra spirit, toxic bullets) and duration (superior on burn) -- and then try to rush escalating exposure followed by leech early. With afterburn being his main damage dealer, I've noticed the key to winning fights with Infernus is to sustain long enough for your enemies to die to DoT. With leech and escalating exposure, every second a fight goes on you're becoming more tanky and your enemies are dying faster. This last game I played earlier tonight, I was able to get locked down and solo ulted by a warden, and I was still able to kill him because I just kept him on fire and healed through all his damage.
With the leech change this also means you’re applying two sources of heal cut now (toxic bullets and the healbane baked into leech) which probably really helped against the Warden ult lol. Bro was only healing like 25% at that point.
@@jonathanrussell6525 oh yeah, I absolutely LOVE the fact that heal bane is baked into leech now. Saves me a slot and allows me to completely negate abrams, warden and shiv. If my team is good enough for me to farm hard between lane phase and "every fight is a massive death ball team fight" phase, by that time I also have recoil, inhibitor and mystic slow, so I'm able to walk into a teamfight and all of a sudden the entire enemy team is moving slower, shooting slower, taking major damage, not healing at all, and having their damage output inhibited. I've started to see Infernus's role as debuffing everyone so hard that they can't beat the rest of my team.
@ Yeah, all that nonsense is why I did not remotely mind him getting nerfed lol. He’s really cool and I love him but goddamn was he my least favorite thing to go against for a while when I first started playing.
@zilliq-qz5uw yeah I've always thought the 15min ricochet rush was a trap. You can farm jungle almost as easily if you spend those souls on individual DoT, and it's way more important to have reliably high damage and sustain when against 1 or 2 enemies. Ricochet doesn't really provide any value until you notice that the majority of fights you're in include at least 3 enemies.
For yamato, the raw damage build is great for lower ranks, I think that Ronalds build is a bit focused around playing off of your teammates which doesn't work so well in lower ranks like oracle.
This is a very interesting perspective from the top level of the game, I greatly appreciate it! I just watched a video from 'The Deadlock Meta' who ranked for low tier and it was fairly different.
I think your teir list is suffering from a bit of anchoring bias and is becoming less useful as everything is crowding. If you force yourself to do a bell curve you will not have this problem, you can just note that the teirs are not far apart from each other
People don’t listen to disclaimers, if characters are close in power they should be close in tier list. Ppl will see “omg __ Char in bottom tier” and not think “___ char slightly weaker than the best” if a majority of the cast is strong then that’s where they belong, there’s not enough of a difference between them and extremely strong
@@emmett_m i agree; i think it’s best to skew towards accuracy even if it means the tier list is “less useful” at a glance. tier lists in general are honestly pretty overrated and purposeless as a tool. generally speaking, tier lists in most games don’t even matter for an overwhelming majority of a given playerbase. deathy even says he bases his tier lists off of tournament play, which most people watching this will probably never even experience firsthand.
I actually really dislike forcing a bell curve into tier lists, as it often is not at all indicative of strength. I’d much prefer a cramped tier list if the heroes are in fact close in power. Tier lists don’t matter much anyways, no tier list is accurate for your specific skill level and skill set.
his ball build is still great but melee just does insane damage and makes him a brawler, and even without all of that cube is still really easy to get value out of. i don’t think he’s “overpowered” or oppressive rn but he’s very strong atm
they are trash now. the ball build is dead despite what anyone would say. and puddle punch being parryable makes going a full melee build not remotely good against good players. even when you are hitting ur punches there is melee resist on tons of items now
nah that’s just incorrect, ball build is no longer SS tier but still very good. melee viscous is also very good, and idk where u got the idea that good players parry puddle punch cuz in fights they dont
@@Goober70000 in fights u will hit some punches yes, but in any 1v1 scenario against a good player you are not hitting more than 2. 2 punches does less than 600 damage most of the time and even less if they have ANY melee resist.
Yo Deathy, could you check out the paradox pulse grenade. You can put every ability range and duration item on it and then it pulses 8x and the range is nearly as big as the midboss pit, and you can spam with the shard item. The recent ability range and duration nerfs didn’t affect the 8x pulses because that ability is broken, it pulses more times than it should and it seems kinda broken tbh
Did you try building scarab mirage ? With cooldown reduction, ability duration and spirit, adding a siphon bullet on top he can steal a lot of HP. Kind of a troll build I suppose
I do get why such drastic changes occur in this stage in the game, but boy is it getting exhausting to try and keep up with the game. I almost wish I wasn’t introduced to this crack I call Deadlock so early
Mirage is only too strong if you don't know how to deal with him. He's my main so I know well the timing of the mark, so if I get put against a mirage in lane, whenever I think I've got 2x mark on me, I'll get behind cover until it expires.

@zilliq-qz5uw I do I just suck with traditional carry heroes I don't position correctly and feed when I'm weak then don't take advantage of when I'm strong. I'm best with tanky heroes with lots of sustain so my bad positioning I can get away
