I was so amazed by the way the lady naio nails need each and every one of those mermaid scales with white acrylic. she is extremely talented and it looked awesome I wish I could do it like that! I also do a really good job myself and I'm learning more everyday.

And the "fractal" design that I see in it (being sort of geekish that way, noticing patterns elsewhere in Nature), I thought, so - change up the background colour to a golden reddish brownish and cover it all with autumn brownish tones and you'd have a lovely pinecone texture with the same technique! And the old lady in me remembers the first times I got long acrylics back in the 80's and wonders how in the world would I be able to go to the loo and not mess up my nails with this elegant set!?

Just came upon this, that was really cool!! I kind of had mermaid scales flat & sleek in my head. Before you painted it, I thought this technique would be excellent to make a Christmas pine cone, with some glittery snow!🤗
