New Firestick owner: The Developer Options menu used to always be visible in the Settings, but according to AFTVNews, Amazon is rolling out an update to some models that hides it by default. Thankfully, it’s not gone forever - you just have to navigate to Settings > My Fire TV > About, and then keep clicking the device name until you see a “You are now a developer” popup. After that, the Developer Options menu shows up like normal.

H mate just a quick question did you get a list of any apps just jailbreak my stick & trying to explain to my partner this is so we can get free movies & stuff
Unfortunately, TH-cam will dox their channel if they mention the exact apps in their stores now. So the only thing you can do is Google which apps are best for what you're looking for, and then when you enter his store, hope they're there. I hope this helps, and explains it a bit more.

I used this video a few weeks ago for my replacement firestick. It had been so long that I had set it up and your video was perfect to get right to it…I downloaded those 2 main app stores and went from there. I only had trouble finding one of the movie apps but this new firestick I’m setting up today is going in my daughters room so it won’t be needed. Mine is a 1st Gen Fire Stick I dug out the other day and I keep getting a parse error. Should I just trash this one and get a new one or is something wrong? I don't get the option to choose unknown app installs on a certain application bases, just an of or on. Did not know this was still a thing anymore and just now getting back into it. I was doing it back in the Kodi days.

As I was watching the video I currently don't see the developer option when I click on fire at the 2:18 minute mark of your video... Do we need to check for updates and update our firestick TV
When I go to my fire tv there is No developer options my old fire stick had it but this is 2nd fire stick I bought and can't even get to developer options to change it to install unknown apps

I keep clicking on [ Fire TV Stick 4k ] in the [ About ] option but, can't get it to finally read [ You Are A Developer ]....Also....under [ Developer Option ] I get [ Apps from Unknown Sources ] with the option to turn ON or OFF. Not the [ Instal Unknown Apps ] option.... How do I resolve these issues?
Thank you for this update. I'm from the US and in the past I've used just a movie/TV apk app. One was called Nova, another was Flim+ and another cyberflix. I was then able to watch any TV show or movie when I opened any of them. Are those still available or is there something better for me to use being from the US? They were just easy for me. One click and all the shows were available. Thanks again for all the work you put into your videos. They provide lots of info!
