We know God has a sense of humor because He made man in His own image (Genesis 1:26,27), but He can't be laughing now when looking down on mankind in its present condition. However, the agnostic Mark Twain made an astute observation. He said, "The most singular peculiarity of the Bible is its absence of humor." There are a few funny things in the Bible, like Nathaniel's response to his friend Phillip, who said, 'We have found Him of whom Moses in the law and also the prophets wrote about, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.' Nathaniel said to him, 'Can anything good come out of Nazareth?'" (John1:4,46); but none are intentional.

Such classics, impromptu talent at its best. Todays stuff relies on shock value gimmicks - classic times
A Dilettante Presumptuous Theorem: Singers back then such as Frankie (now 80 years old in 2019) could be asked to sing on the spot without practising, without a recording studio and without their own particular musicians. Remarkable and outstanding.
Of course, they could refuse. :)
I remember Groucho show. Back in those days there was good family entertainment. I am happy that I have lived in the good old days. Happy Memories.
OMG. People must have gone nuts when he started singing. They don't have shows like this anymore fer sher.
If God had a sense of humour surely , he would have made Groucho immortal
If God had sense of humour he surely learned it from Groucho Marx
Luckily TH-cam has a sense of humor!
George Carlin - he was philosophical comedian, and killer hilarious!
@@guynorth3277 George Carlin was not the name of the duck, the name of the duck was Bucks.
Just great. I was only 3 years old. And still in mexico
Miss Junior Achievement - not your average kid.
Yup; notice how she picked up on selling Frankie's mom's braciole recipe; it's a delicious dish (and so was Frankie, lol).
LOVED FRANKIE AVALON. love Groucho Marx
no lipsyncing here-lovely young woman
groucho is whip quick and hysterically funny
For 1961 Joyce was the bomb!
She reminds me of Cybil Shepherd in the Last Picture Show
This was SO SPECIAL!🥰
My favorite moments were every time Groucho called the young woman pretty, she reminded his that she is intelligent and ambitious.
So refreshing!
Frankie had a very sublime vibrato in his voice
How wonderfully beautiful x
Such a Handsome man!
Frankie was already on TV at age 12 playing trumpet. He was not some 'off the street Philly creation' but a hard working lifelong singer and musician.
That Joyce was one bright chick, and a pioneering student.
Frankie nice guy. Still singing into his 80’s. Hard to believe. Wonder what happened to that beauty next to him. I hope a happy long life.
I noticed how non-PC Groucho was and it's refreshing.
just a wonderful young lady
Sad that her life and death were so tragic. See second comment for info
This is still funny after all these years
I appreciate that you didn’t cut anyone down like so many do. Always judging. I love watching this show. Didn’t discover it until the 70’s. Had this show on 5 nights a week late at night.
That certainly was, fun.
Class all the way!
Yes,this show aired in 1961,just shortly before American morals started to crumble. Frankie and Miss De Hart did show much class and poise, especially for a beautiful young woman and a great young singer. I sing this song as an amateur singer (age 51) ,and I learned it by watching this video. Does anybody know if Joyce De Hart is still living? May God help our nation and the world to find its moral compass!!!!!!! Richard Rhoden.
Joe Rhoden Feminism, and liberals have ruint America. Sad.... :(
the truth hurts, ouch!!!!
@@voiceover-impressionist --- There are good and bad Liberals and good and bad Conservatives. Painting everyone at once with such a wide brush does a disservice to many, many innocent people. Don't speak in such wide generalities. Be more specific, using concrete examples and follow that up with suggestions as to how to fix the problem. Those are merely examples of how I approach such issues, and you will start fewer arguments. Have a nice night! :)
And of course our parents & grandparents thought we were awful. Thought Groucho was vulgar. Every generations do this. In the mid 1800’s ladies were judged for showing their ankles. How scandalous!!!!
Joyce is so gorgeous!!! wow....
Wow, what a voice and what a great couple. Unfortunately that talent has been replaced with tattoos, swearing, hip hop and piercings.
Hey man.........shut up
cipherTV you have to shut up, stupid
piercings tattoos and swearing even existed back then, even much much earlier.
it's sorry but true.
After that last move by Groucho and Frankie, they both are under suspicion for sexual abuse 60 some years later.
Lovely Joyce DeHart is the spitting image of 1950-era Peggy Dow.
Frankie has great stage presence
These were the best times, with the best humans!!! People are losing their humanity!!!
Frankie was a real cute guy and great singer very polite
Cute duo! Singing ! And dancing groucho
