Big Boss didn't betray Venom for real He just send Solid Snake to a suicide mission which did not going as planned. Big Boss doesn't expected that Solid Snake gonna make this far... I guess Big Boss contact Ahab and tell him that Solid is coming so Ahab tried to settle this by himself but anyway Solid got the upper hand against the old Venom Snake (in this case LOL 10 rockets)
I know Kojima has said he doesn't plan to remake this . . . but Phantom Pain is going to leave us in Africa with a vengeful Big Boss in Outer Heaven. Remastered Metal Gear is a must else they leave us with an evil seeming Big Boss; that's no kind of closure.

Venom didn't know he was a clone, in the tapes of MGS5, Ocelot (who also didn't know but sort of knew, but didn't really know because of self-brainwashing) tells Venom that Solid Snake is in no way related to Venom. But, what they both didn't know at the time, is that Venom isn't the real Big Boss, that's why the DNA tests were 0% related. So Venom NEVER knew that Solid Snake, the one who killed him in MG1, was his "son".
Full circle. Venom Snake in the first game, and in the last. Also, if you notice how both Naked Snake and Venom Snake have only up to A+ or A++ stats, and then there are characters like Flaming Buffalo who are S+, you realize they do have soldiers who are better than them already (even shown in-gameplay: send 5 S-ranks on a combat mission against 30 A+ enemies and they destroy with a 95% chance of victory... in less than half an hour)
Solid still took down Flaming Buffalo much easier than Venom. Since Diamond Dogs merged with Outer Heaven upon the latter's completion and Flaming Buffalo was easily one of Venom's best fighters, it's inevitable that she and the other elites would've gone up against Solid at some point during the game. And we all know how fast the generic enemies go down. Though since they all appear male, she was probably in the driver during the tank boss fight or something.
I dont think they're better than Venom Snake. Venom Snake has A+ in all stats, making him the best character he's good at everything, he even runs faster.

Kojima and Konami needs to team up one more time to revamp Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 with modern day game graphics. That's when I'll be satisfied, that's when the true nature of everything will come together.
Dude I'm pretty sure the Fox Engine and Kojima Productions LA would have had 2 AAA Kojima Productions games a season. MGS sequels and remakes, while Kojima Productions main could work on Silent Hills and Death Standing like shit. Instead we got Metal Gear Survive and Packinko.
At the end of mgsv when venom snake flips the tape, the diamond dog logo on the door changes to the outer haven logo. Then he walks into the smoke, that's probably right before this happens.

In the original MSX version, Venom's A.I. wasn't that rock-stupid so he was actually somewhat challenging as a boss fight. The NES port mangled a bunch of stuff from the game. Terrible A.I., Engrish-y translation, baffling item relocations ... And worst of all ... NO METAL GEAR IN THE GAME. That's right, that computer you see Solid Snake blowing up in the video? That replaced the Metal Gear bossfight in the MSX version. It apparently had something to do with the Metal Gear using extra animations that was handled by a chip the MSX had and the NES didn't. Their solution was to remove the Metal Gear entirely and replace it with the lame supercomputer we see. Seriously. A Metal Gear game without a Metal Gear. No wonder Kojima hated the NES port.
For it's time and it being essentially the first ever stealth videogame, it holds up especially well. But on it's own, this game seriously needs a remake, even if it's only a 16/32 bits one.
My take on what the dialogue would be in a remake (warning: long read) After having destroyed the TX-55 Metal Gear, Solid Snake holsters his gun, taking in the carnage all around the hangar. “SNAKE!!!” a voice screams from inside the toppled mech. Solid turns to face the wreckage. He sees the hatch open, and “Big Boss” himself tumbling out. Boss: “It’s not over yet!” he says as he pulls himself out of the mech and tumbles to the floor. Snake takes his pistol back out and aims it at BB as he rapidly approaches. Solid: “Stand down and surrender! Now!” BB breathes heavily as he stares at the floor on his hands and knees. Then suddenly, he rushes Snake, using CQC to throw some jabs and send Snake tumbling to the ground. Boss: “Not when I’ve still got some fight in me.” Snake stumbles to get himself back up. Boss: “Your skills are quite impressive, Snake! I’m proud of you!” he says as he undoes his trench-coat, “But you still haven’t proven yourself against me in a fair fight!” BB then dramatically takes off his coat with one hand, letting it flutter to the ground and revealing a combat uniform underneath. A faint scar can be seen on BB’s forehead. Boss: “Before this mission ends, I want a true fight to the death. Master and apprentice!” Solid Snake looks uncertain, still aiming his SOCOM pistol at BB. Boss: “And you know what? I’ll make this a little more interesting, just like before,” he takes out some sort of remote and raises it over his head, then presses a big button on it. Suddenly, an alarm begins blaring. Emergency lights on the walls begin flashing red. Voice: “Emergency, emergency! Outer Heaven self-destruct activated. All personnel must evacuate immediately!” Solid Snake briefly looks around. Solid: “What the hell is wrong with you?! The nukes will detonate and destroy the entire area!” BB tosses the detonator aside. Boss: “Anyone that survives this will be a potential puppet to be manipulated by Cipher, or worse. I refuse to allow the continuation of proxy wars using masses of human beings as cannon fodder. Me killing them will be granting them mercy!” BB gets into a combat stance. Boss: “Plus, soldiers have honor! A true soldier never abandons the mission, even in the face of death!” he then unholsters his own pistol - an M1911, and aims it at Snake, “I’m gonna use what little time we have left to make sure you don’t leave either! Show me what you got!” The final showdown begins.

Because I know that Metal gear was supposed to be an action game like contra (a game that runs on NES), but due to hardware limitations of the MSX-2 Kojima opted for infiltration, yet the Metal Gear actually appears in the MSX-2 version. Maybe I’m wrong, but if MSX-2 can’t have a proper action game like this, how does it manage to have the giant robot and not the NES?

Zero did something to condition the medic into thinking he was big boss. Its the medic taking a shot for the actual big boss here too. This brings a whole new meaning to the ending to MGS4, when Big boss mentioned Zero and showed him in that vegetable state...

I've been noticing that the final battles I've finished in the MGS games I played so far all involved something to do with snakes. Metal Gear Solid: Liquid Snake Metal Gear Solid 2: Solidus Snake Metal Gear Solid 3: The Boss (Cobra Unit Commander with a Snake-shaped scar) And then there are the other games I haven't played yet with final battles also having something to do with snakes in it: Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Big Boss (Naked/Punished/Venom Snake) Metal Gear Solid 4: Liquid Ocelot (In addition to having Liquid Snake's Arm, Ocelot is also the son of The Boss too.) I didn't include Peace Walker because it's just coincidental information, but I discovered that there actually exists a symmetric key block cipher called "Serpent". You'd be more familiar with those strange terms I mentioned earlier if you have some knowledge on Cryptography.

Also, if you notice how both Naked Snake and Venom Snake have only up to A+ or A++ stats, and then there are characters like Flaming Buffalo who are S+, you realize they do have soldiers who are better than them already (even shown in-gameplay: send 5 S-ranks on a combat mission against 30 A+ enemies and they destroy with a 95% chance of victory... in less than half an hour)

Solid still took down Flaming Buffalo much easier than Venom. Since Diamond Dogs merged with Outer Heaven upon the latter's completion and Flaming Buffalo was easily one of Venom's best fighters, it's inevitable that she and the other elites would've gone up against Solid at some point during the game. And we all know how fast the generic enemies go down. Though since they all appear male, she was probably in the driver during the tank boss fight or something.
I dont think they're better than Venom Snake. Venom Snake has A+ in all stats, making him the best character he's good at everything, he even runs faster.

In the original MSX version, Venom's A.I. wasn't that rock-stupid so he was actually somewhat challenging as a boss fight.
The NES port mangled a bunch of stuff from the game. Terrible A.I., Engrish-y translation, baffling item relocations ...
And worst of all ... NO METAL GEAR IN THE GAME. That's right, that computer you see Solid Snake blowing up in the video? That replaced the Metal Gear bossfight in the MSX version. It apparently had something to do with the Metal Gear using extra animations that was handled by a chip the MSX had and the NES didn't. Their solution was to remove the Metal Gear entirely and replace it with the lame supercomputer we see.
Seriously. A Metal Gear game without a Metal Gear. No wonder Kojima hated the NES port.

after playing mgsv that line becomes even funnier.
For it's time and it being essentially the first ever stealth videogame, it holds up especially well. But on it's own, this game seriously needs a remake, even if it's only a 16/32 bits one.

My take on what the dialogue would be in a remake (warning: long read)
After having destroyed the TX-55 Metal Gear, Solid Snake holsters his gun, taking in the carnage all around the hangar.
“SNAKE!!!” a voice screams from inside the toppled mech.
Solid turns to face the wreckage. He sees the hatch open, and “Big Boss” himself tumbling out.
Boss: “It’s not over yet!” he says as he pulls himself out of the mech and tumbles to the floor.
Snake takes his pistol back out and aims it at BB as he rapidly approaches.
Solid: “Stand down and surrender! Now!”
BB breathes heavily as he stares at the floor on his hands and knees. Then suddenly, he rushes Snake, using CQC to throw some jabs and send Snake tumbling to the ground.
Boss: “Not when I’ve still got some fight in me.”
Snake stumbles to get himself back up.
Boss: “Your skills are quite impressive, Snake! I’m proud of you!” he says as he undoes his trench-coat, “But you still haven’t proven yourself against me in a fair fight!”
BB then dramatically takes off his coat with one hand, letting it flutter to the ground and revealing a combat uniform underneath. A faint scar can be seen on BB’s forehead.
Boss: “Before this mission ends, I want a true fight to the death. Master and apprentice!”
Solid Snake looks uncertain, still aiming his SOCOM pistol at BB.
Boss: “And you know what? I’ll make this a little more interesting, just like before,” he takes out some sort of remote and raises it over his head, then presses a big button on it.
Suddenly, an alarm begins blaring. Emergency lights on the walls begin flashing red.
Voice: “Emergency, emergency! Outer Heaven self-destruct activated. All personnel must evacuate immediately!”
Solid Snake briefly looks around.
Solid: “What the hell is wrong with you?! The nukes will detonate and destroy the entire area!”
BB tosses the detonator aside.
Boss: “Anyone that survives this will be a potential puppet to be manipulated by Cipher, or worse. I refuse to allow the continuation of proxy wars using masses of human beings as cannon fodder. Me killing them will be granting them mercy!”
BB gets into a combat stance.
Boss: “Plus, soldiers have honor! A true soldier never abandons the mission, even in the face of death!” he then unholsters his own pistol - an M1911, and aims it at Snake, “I’m gonna use what little time we have left to make sure you don’t leave either! Show me what you got!”
The final showdown begins.

Because I know that Metal gear was supposed to be an action game like contra (a game that runs on NES), but due to hardware limitations of the MSX-2 Kojima opted for infiltration, yet the Metal Gear actually appears in the MSX-2 version. Maybe I’m wrong, but if MSX-2 can’t have a proper action game like this, how does it manage to have the giant robot and not the NES?

Because the same could be said for games like Double Dragon where some of the most basic stuff that players like you and I see can't be replicated due to the hardware's limitations. Zero did something to condition the medic into thinking he was big boss. Its the medic taking a shot for the actual big boss here too. This brings a whole new meaning to the ending to MGS4, when Big boss mentioned Zero and showed him in that vegetable state...
