I’m still reading Things I wanted to say by Monica Murphy & it’s taking me forever to finish 😅 Hopefully reading big books will make smaller books seem easier to finish
Not even 2 minutes in and I LOVE how relatable this is. I read like 2-3 books at the most a month. I’m currently reading the priory of the orange tree and it is a BIGGG boy 😅
aw thank you for watching 🫶🏼 2-3 books is so good! I hope I can read that many this month ☺ o my gosh, that's a CHUNKY book. you are braver than I 😅 happy reading 💗
aw THANK YOU so much!! 🥹💗 i’m so glad it’s giving cozy on screen because it feels that way in real life! i really want my videos to give the cozy vibes✨🫶🏽
I was really nervous about reading fantasy at first sometimes you just have to dive in. I also think not reading a high fantasy to start helps. I know Powerless is a Romantasy so it might be easier to start that route to dip your toes into that genre
thank you for this!! I needed to hear this, I just need to dip my toe in. Yes I think you’re right about Powerless. That’s probably the first book i’ll start with in my fantasy journey ✨ thank you for watching 🫶🏽
I’m a slow reader as well especially if the book is more of a slow burn type. Don’t be so hard on yourself and enjoy the reading journey 🫶🏻 I only read one book in October as well lol 🤷🏻♀️ I love your vibe and TBR videos thank you for sharing with us!!! 💖
glad to see another person joining the club! I'm the same way with slow burns! hey, 1 book is still good! I technically didn't finish any book in October 😅😭 I finally finished it on November 2nd. I just posted a vlog of me finishing it actually THANK YOU !! 🤎🫶🏼🥰 thank you for watching ! ♡
Hey i' m starting reading since apr 2023 now i realise benefit of reading. Also you recommend a lot of books .And. You explain very well. I enjoy your video's .
Are the reading sprints only live? I think i’ve seen those videos floating around. I can see how that would be really helpful, I might have to look into it!
I haven't read Powerless, but as someone who reads a lot of fantasy I totally get that it can be an intimidating genre to step into. Divine Rivals is a great starting point, and so is Heartless Hunter (which I've seen on your cart). What can also help is to start with contemporary fantasies that are set on earth, with just one or two paranormal/ fantasy elements thrown into the mix (which usually makes the world building much easier to grasp), or retellings of fairytales that you love, since you'll have that aspect of it to guide you through.
omg THANK YOU !! this is super helpful 🥹🥹 I’m so glad you noticed I have Heartless Hunter as well because I heard that should be an easier fantasy to start with, so thank you for confirming it! I believe I have a retelling of some sort, I think it’s called Curse of the wolf king (Entangled with Fae series). That would probably be good for me to start with also. again thank you so much!! ✨💗
The discord I’m in has reading/productivity sprints and they always motivate me to get stuff done. They are done almost daily. I work graveyards so I don’t get to join as much as I used to but they are awesome.
I’m currently doing this with The Dead Romantics! It’s the best! I need to do it more because it does genuinely help. Especially when starting a new book, makes it a lot easier. Thank you for watching!
i dont read much fantasy either, so far i've only read like 3 haha, and i promise powerless isn't hard to get into at all. i'd say it's 80% romance, 10% hunger games-esque plot, and 10% fantasy if that makes sense 😄 you don't get any complicated magic, worldbuilding or politics at all, it is mainly the two main characters flirting lol. also please don't feel bad about cheating/swapping books! it is your tbr and it should consist of books you're excited to read 💕 loved the video, happy reading!
omg thank you so much! wow I really appreciate you taking the time to explain the book like that! This is really getting me motivated to read it! 80% romance sounds perfect especially with the hunger games-esque plot! thank you so much 🥹💗
I’m a slow reader, especially if I’m really enjoying a book. Currently, have three books on the go, so it could be a while before I finish any of them, as I love them all so far😂
I feel the same when I'm enjoying a book! I don't want it to end haha & oh wow! That's awesome that you're loving all the 3 books! i love that for you 😂💗
I had high hopes for The Final Girl Support Group, as I loved the premise, but once the action started, it lost its way and became a bit silly to me. I found the relationships between the different girls, and the support group itself more interesting than what happened next.
Don't feel bad about swapping! You're the one who has to read the book. Also, when you do decide to try fantasy, I think Powerless would be a great one to start with. It looks intimidating, but I promise it's not. 🫶🏻
I'm a slow reader to, but I love to read big books.

exactly yes! reading is reading 💗 thank you so much!! ✨💖

@brittanymanon where are you belong
I look for reading sprints on TH-cam. When other people are sitting down and reading, it makes it easier for me to join in.
Are the reading sprints only live? I think i’ve seen those videos floating around. I can see how that would be really helpful, I might have to look into it!
@@brittanymanon They're usually live, but the old VODs still circulate. I prefer the live ones so I can chat in the chat during breaks.
Being able to chat during the live ones is a plus for sure, thank you for the info!

wow I love that! I need to look into that, I can see that being very motivating for sure! Thank you for watching 🫶🏽✨
I am such a slow reader and that is why lately I have been reading via audiobooks whilst reading along with the physical book.
I’m currently doing this with The Dead Romantics! It’s the best! I need to do it more because it does genuinely help. Especially when starting a new book, makes it a lot easier.

Powerless is really low fantasy- it’s primarily a slow burn closed door romance with hunger games isk vibes. It’s amazing! Very easy to get into ❤
@@graciousintentions that sounds amazing thank you 🫶🏽☺️
