I never knew anything about Rocket League before I came across moist critical's live by chance. The game looks really fun and competitive! And it's nice to see a CEO dance like a madman as full support to his eSports team.
as someone who just recently started my own rocket league journey, being able to root for moist in this RLCS gave me passion for esports that i haven’t felt since 2016 csgo. thank you charlie.
Actually crazy how one of my favorite streamers made one of the greatest e sports group for my FAVORITE game two worlds id never thought would collide just made it 100x better
Agreed, brothers. Demos are just part of Rocket League, and it is your choice if you want to use it or not. Clearly, you have a bias to eu and calling V1 dirty players isn't the best move.
Great content man very well edited and entertaining videos surprised this dosent have more views but you keep uploading like this? i promise ur gonna blow up never quit
One thing I have to correct, there is no "dirty play" in this game unless you actually use cheats or mods to give you an advantage. There are no dirty plays only weak cars.
Kalvin: Hopefully this video motivate you and make you run out of plat.. Me: stopped playing for a month, played again and went back to gold😭😭 great video btw!
Really well made video. As someone who has been a moist esports fan since the very beginning with Kola and a huge RL fan you covered everything really nicely.
What Moist’s success owes a lot to is Charlie’s support for his boys. I’ve never seen a team owner care and show as much support as Charlie does for Moist.
even though i watched the games and live streams and obviously know who won this video made me excited all over again. excellent writing, choice of clips, and dramatic timing. awesome video
I felt the full range of human emotions in this video. The highs and excitement of Moists journey and the lows of being called out for being a Plat. Truely a wild ride of a video
i stopped playing rocket league a while ago… i was d2 at that time but i stopped because i got really tikted at yhe game alot haha, but after seeing this video i got eccited again.. just that feeling that unique feeling when playing RL.. long story short im gonna download the game again and see where my level is at ;) fantastic vid and ofcourse gcongrats to charlie and his team!!!
Overall great video really well done. Love it and learned a lot. However, knock off that "dirty play" bs. Demos are apart of the game and it makes you sound like a plat. Demos are like blitzing in the NFL, they are high risk/high reward plays. Yes NFL defenses can blitz and get sacks, but the best QBs see them coming and punish teams for doing them. Blitzing is legal in the NFL and Demos are apart of RL. Demos are not dirty if both teams have the ability and opportunities to do them.
damn everyone complaining about V1 being called dirty. yall dont understand that its obviously exaggerated to give a sense of the hero beating the villain on the rematch. the only valid criticism I would give is he told us before the games that they won way to many times which basically cancelled out the intense editing that followed, especially during the later, higher stake games. But this video is actually phenomenal.
:/ if anyone who never watched rlcs watches this video, it gives them the incentive that demoes are dirty , and then they decide to play rocket league and they become those toxic plats that cry about demoes.
Using a false/exaggerated narrative in a documentary style video is disingenuous, though. Presenting something as factual or objective, when it's more like half-truths or biased narratives, is literally how we got fake news. The rest of the video was indeed phenomenal, but smearing V1 as the villain was the only "dirty play" in this video.
Great content SUCH A GREAT VIDEO TOP quality documentary felt soo high budget and i got the chills every second you spoke. keep up the great videos!!!!!
Although demo'ing is definitely annoying, it is Not "dirty." It's part of the game and is the most prevalent in pro level RL.. Dirty play is when someone does something, not technically, but borderline cheating, which demo'ing is not.
Yea, when it comes to pro play it’s a great strategy, as it’s a lot less unlikely that they would whiff a save, so doing what you can to destroy the defense is a great strategy when you’re against a really good defense
"Despite all odds Moist Esports has been crowned the champion." "This should have never happened" Idk id you've barely started watching RL and found it neat that Charlies team won but they by no means are underdogs or a bad team. They showed up last split and slapped everyone. Winning 2 out of 3 regionals in the Winter. They made an insane lower bracket run In the Winter Major as well. This past split they won a regional and had show what tf was up. They are the best team in the world lol.
don’t forget that falcons are also a new team. and this is the first time all the players on that team can make it to a major. it would of been much more surprising to see falcons win as they don’t have much lan experience at all. unlike moist. since they used to be under the name team queso
Charlie is the perfect example of what can happen when you do things the right way for all the right reasons. Most honest, humble owner in esports, guaranteed.
Youre right, charlie managed to bring together so many people rooting for a team to win in a game they know nothing about. I would know since im one of those people. The only thing i know about rocket league is the objective of the game as its simple enough but thats really the extend of my knowledge, yet i watched moist esports take the win and fell in love with the team. The same thing happened with super smash bros, its a game i only knew of and i have watched the moist players play their matches out
That's what I like about rocket league. The concept of it is easy enough to understand even to someone completely new to esports. It was so much fun to root for Moist in Charlies streams :)
amazing documentary but i think there are somethings that you could’ve have included that you missed out on. the first regional when they were team queso, they barely beat any team and i believe they went out on 12-16 range, so that could’ve been included for an even better narrative for how quick they progressed. you also could’ve slightly included the addition of the new coach n0ah who i feel had a huge impact on the team. and then personally i feel that not putting all of joyos air dribble to the ceiling to ground double was a massive blunder, because that is one of the single best shots ever scored in pro rl. regardless the video was absolutely amazing👍🏻
I mean, this was their first major as a full roster, and they got 2nd place. They absolutely crushed it, getting 2nd out of 16 teams is a very good placement especially considering they don't have the same kind of competition in their own region as Moist.
i got an adrenaline rush from watching this video and ranked up to diamond 3 but i watched a sunlesskhan video the following day and went straight back to plat 3 -_-
nice video... the only thing that (to me) seems a bit off is that it feels like your arguement why so many people fell in love with the team is because of moist critical himself and funny streams but imo it's 90% the players personality and playstyle
Just started playing rocket League this season at the age of 28 and have been watching all the rlcs majors God damn amazing sport. And I did get out of platinum God damn it but now I can't get out of diamond
The fact that critical watches all his players in their big games live is why we love Moist Esports

Great video man, idk about calling V1s demos "playing dirty" though. Sounds like they cheated or something. Demos are just demos
Exactly, even as an eu fanboy myself, this guy definitely had a clear eu bias
And regardless, physical play is just another strategy, if people think it’s dirty then they’re just not accepting the game
Agreed, brothers. Demos are just part of Rocket League, and it is your choice if you want to use it or not. Clearly, you have a bias to eu and calling V1 dirty players isn't the best move.
Demo a eu thing we like to look them in the eye and outplay them

Dirty play cannot exist in an esport since it requires physical contact. It's things like illegal hits, groin taps, pitcher throwing at batter, etc.
@@cmdrfunk I wholeheartedly agree.
Well said!
@virtualOD A perfect analogy.
@cmdrfunk I would call any borderline cheating "dirty." There are other ways to play dirty than just physical contact.
