- Some of the most beautiful flower gardens in the world can be found on Mackinac Island and this year, the tulips have put on quite the show! The flower gardens are a part of every property on. Mackinac Island including hotel resorts, small B&B's, and private home gardens.
Mission Point Resort borders their gorgeous landscapes with tulips and other spring blooms. Grand Hotel creates an amazing flower garden design that looks like a giant sunburst of different colored rays of tulips and special this year, they created a "Starry Night" garden as an ode to the famous painting.
The tulips are out, the lilacs are beginning to bloom and some of the summer gardens are already being planted! Just this past week! It’s been warmer than usual here so the spring flowers have peeked early. Mid to late May is when the spring flowers come in and then they change them out for the summer flowers! June is a great time to enjoy lilacs and July, August and September is a great time to see the summer flowers.
