It depends. Both are good. Both of the films are quite logical. Though at a point of time I felt Madhavan's character was more dramatic. Whereas Hitan kumar performance in vash was more psychotic and better compared to madhavan. If Madhavan's character wins at the climax. Vash kar leta vo bas aankhon se par saari duniya ko vash karke kya karta vo. Both the characters are sadistic
I watched both versions. Personally I felt "Vash" was more realistic in terms of treatment while "Shaitaan" had more over the top Bollywood masala in it. I feel keeping it as real as possible made a greater impact rather than loud performances as shown in shaitaan. Also the ending was definitely better in Vash because that felt closer to reality. The trauma they faced and also the last command is the final command that part was thoroughly shown in vash. A great thriller I must say. 💯
I disagree, santaan is more logical and acceptable. Vaash ending is not logical, how can a girl still alive while smiling all time, how she is eating and drinking? She didn't have permission for that. It's not logical.

Madhavan go through excruciating pain for a year in the end didn't work for me, compared to how Atharva (Hitu Kanodia) lost his wife, son, and daughter was as good as dead despite being alive, for which he held Pratap (Hiten Kumaar) captive for a decade was a better ending
