    Loved this kind of video man! Enjoy watching you jam on some coins dude! Truth is the graders probably went as fast as you did in your review of the grading results when they were grading the coins, instead of taking the time required or necessary. Looks like you had a several possible cameos for sure, at least coins deserving of a "star" designation? Enjoy the videos especially the coin ones. Have a great day and much success!

    • @COINTABLEChrisTisdale
      @COINTABLEChrisTisdale  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much! You are very much correct about the graders.... In fact, on that note, I would be surprised if they even spent as much time as i did... which I dont blame them for that. They have to turn through thousands per day... a good grader only needs a second or two in order to grade a coin outside of a handful of circumstances. It is a bummer though when they miss cameos on a date as good as 1958... or when they miss so many. Thanks again. more vids like this to come.

    Yes we love watching this Chris. It was total coin _ _ _ _. :) The music really set the mood. Watching this made me feel very happy. Never seen so many pr68 1950's in one place. So awesome.
    If these were in PCGS holders I would be offering to make a deal. You should send me your sales pricelist sometime.

      Awesome my friend.. I have more unboxings to edit, so there will be more coming this week. I will likely add music from this point. THanks for all the support and insight.

    I started grading coins regularly in 2018. I would say they've progressively gotten harder, but especially in late 2019 and 2020. I no longer send coins in for grading, as it never paid off. Rather I simply look for amazing coins already graded, ideally very solid for the grade (CAC or not).

    • @COINTABLEChrisTisdale
      @COINTABLEChrisTisdale  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats the key in business, willingness to pivot!!! I give you credit for pivoting instead of just quitting.... Its been rough the last year. I think Covid might have something to do with it.

    • @basicsubscriber3891

      @@COINTABLEChrisTisdale Agree. My view on why they got tougher - the grading companies were largely blamed for Grade-flation (which is accurate). This caused rare coin prices in general to go lower, which is bad for the hobby and their business. How do they stop the bleeding? To get tougher on grading, of course. I can't credit them with the general rise in coin prices we are seeing now, but knowing the top 1 or 2 grades on every coin is fairly well "protected" from big jumps in supply will help demand for those. I really appreciate your videos, thanks for putting them out!

    Enjoy the tunes as well, it adds extra depth and keeps me intrigued along with the unboxing. It may just be me, but the music sometimes is louder then your voice and drowns you out. I would make it very subtle in the background if you can(just loud enough to barely hear). It still pops even if lower. Excellent video, always innovating.

      Thank you very much for the feedback. I messed up the sound on this video actually..... (if you notice my first several vids have terrible sound, as i learned editing and got the right help I learned sound, and so now i get to learn post producing that) thanks again for the feedback!

    I rarely submit to ngc but pcgs has been very inconsistent with toning to the point where I don’t think I’ll submit to them for a few months until I start seeing better results from buddies’ submissions.

    • @COINTABLEChrisTisdale
      @COINTABLEChrisTisdale  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its been equally inconsistent lately... at both third parties for me and the guys I work with.

    @tylonnplatinumthe3rd659 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Woohoo 🙌 RCTV here we come ! Solid results even with the robbing on a few cameos. I suppose if you have these graded for $12ea. and pay let’s say $8 ea. for the coin so $20 ea. total ? I’m sure the margins are tight but obviously it’s a solid hustle or you wouldn’t be making all these Franklins
    Love the video Chris

    • @COINTABLEChrisTisdale
      @COINTABLEChrisTisdale  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your insights are normally pretty close... but these 1958 Franklin proofs came from the batch of 800 sealed proof sets I bought in a deal so I really paid up for them. I will definately lose money on the 67's.... but thats the game.

  • @wisconsincrhunter5614
    @wisconsincrhunter5614 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yes I love these types of videos!! Love mass grading reveals. And i agree with you, all those at the end were for sure cameo benjis. I'm curious, were those cameos sent in trying to get that designation or just to figure the grade of them alone? Is it something they missed or is it something you or your team(?) overlooked?

    • @COINTABLEChrisTisdale
      @COINTABLEChrisTisdale  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment. Usually when you send coins to grade, especially proofs, they grade stars, cameos, and ultracameos when the coin has that attribute... So IMO the graders missed them. They have been consistently inconsistent for at least a year!

    • @wisconsincrhunter5614
      @wisconsincrhunter5614 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@COINTABLEChrisTisdale and due to that I dont send any of my coins in for grading or certification/authentication. I've got many ultra rare wheat cents that should be at least authenticated so I can properly sell them on ebay but they're so inconsistent with the grading that I just dont trust what it says anyways. Maybe that's just mr, I dunno. Cant wait to see the unveiling of the rest of the coins you sent in.

    I enjoy your unboxing videos. I know under bulk subbing you have to sub one certain type of coin per order. Something I would enjoy seeing is maybe venturing into another type coin you may enjoy also.
    You may enjoy toned business strike Kens, maybe its just something you could throw in as a wild card in a normal sub(you have done it before in the past). Or maybe a particular coin has caught your eye and you want to work on that market next in terms of going hard at it.
    At the end of the day, do what you enjoy in the hobby. Glad to be apart of the journey.

      YO my friend... Toned Kens are some of my favs... in fact, although my collection is small and minor at this point, majority of the coins in it are toned kens... I love them. I just wasnt vlogging anything back when I was cruising Ebay day and night, and sniping all the auction firms when rainbow toners came up... I will post some on my IG page today!

      Honestly when grading proofs like this you aren't even looking at strike. They are proofs and so all the coins will have solid strikes. What determines grade on coins like this are hairlines and/or spots...
