So many coins and such a lovely spindle whirl could be a Saxon one by the the looks 💚 take care both an yes it is a little shitty out for filming new episodes 🌬️🌧️😅
Yes considering the EMI Jon still manages to hear some good signals, the spindle whorl is lovely and they are a favourite we both like finding them, and like you say it could be Saxon or Medieval. Hope you have fully recovered from your infection and are coming to terms with the loss of Blue. The weather seems to be looking better this coming weekend so all being well we will be out detecting again. All the best Wendy and Jon 🙂🙂
Surprisingly the batteries did very well and next time we are going to do all three reservoirs, the paths all around are reasonably level with just a few inclines, and no slipping and sliding in soft mud, which seems to take a lot more battery power because of the resistance. The X8 is not a good chair for distance and battery life because it has 4 x 700 watt high torque motors, so in perfect flat conditions you may get 8-12 miles but that can drop to 6 miles depending on terrain. I have a plan to use a Honda E10i silent generator and mount it on a platform that fits on the back of the chair and run a 24 volt charger while I am travelling, and in theory that will make up for some of the battery drain and give me more range, but we haven't tried it yet, that will be for another day and another video. 🙂🙂
Hi Jon & Wendy , i see the Deus is still chirping away merrily what programme do you use is it the deep programme ? , anyway another good video with plenty of coins popping up and the spindle whorle is very nice judging by the size of the hole it's probably post Medieval nice design as well , hope all is good with you both best wishes and ATB Rob .
Hi , yes Deus loves to chirp in that field lol. It is deep HC, the only way to cut the EMI in that location, is to use single freqency, but even though it cuts the chirping, it is nowhere near the same depth and everything on that field is deeeeep! lol. I love that spindle whorle, they are one of my favourite artefacts to find. Thanks for watching and commenting. Take care from Jon and Wendy 🙂
Nice finds and video well done you two, if you KHz scan then drop sensitivity it should be more manageable i do have a short video on my channel, keep up the good work :-).
Thanks for watching and commenting, as for the EMI, we have tried changing the KHz and lowering sensitivity and a few other things but nothing will work in that location apart from using single frequency which does calm it down a bit, but Jon says it reduces the depth considerably. Luckily Jon seems to be able to pick out a good signal from all of the chatter, but I am sure we are missing loads, sometimes the EMI is a lot better and it seems to be worse when a lot of people in the village are using more electrical items. All the best Wendy and Jon 🙂🙂
Wonderful to see warmth, thanks for summer!
Hi , yes it seems to be quickly forgotten with all the rain and cold lol. Thank you for watching and commenting. All the best from Jon and Wendy 🙂
Hey Jon and Wendy. I noticed the surprises in the grass where you dug a hole.🤣Take care guys!👍❤
Haha yes, they do like leaving lots of surprises, half of them end up on my knees 😂😂
Just lost half of our fencing in the latest storm. Wishing it was summer again. Great video guys.
Oh no! I haven't ventured up our garden yet. 🤞 we still have a fence! Thanks for watching, very much appreciated Jon and Wendy 😊

some nice detecting. i am recovering from that storm. no detecting for a week.
The weather is looking better for the weekend so we are hoping to get out detecting again. All the best Wendy and Jon 🙂🙂
Hi how did your batteries stand up in your trip round the reservoir? Thanks for the video good to see warmer days.

@ Hi thanks for letting me know. I’ve seen someone in OZ put a Genny on the back of theirs.
@cow_elf I have seen that chap in OZ and he gave me the idea, it seems to work quite well for him, we will see when we try it.🙂
