Experiencing Mġarr with Tony from Gleneagles Bar | S3 E20 P1 | The Local Traveller with Clare Agius

For many visitors, their first port of call is Mġarr. Home to the ferry terminal, and for decades in the past, a harbour for fishing and rowing boats.
Clare chats with Tony from the infamous Gleneagles Bar. Now in his seventies, Tony has been working at the bar for over 58 years. he has seen the harbour transform from a small jetty welcoming small boats, into a port that welcomes thousands of locals and tourists daily. Tony shares tales from his past at the bar, as well as his encounters with familiar faces like Liam Gallagher, Brigitte Nielson, Philip Nicholson, and Robin Askwith.
