  • POV Response to a camper on fire with structures in danger. One concern we had while responding was surrounding counties were under a red flag warning due to high winds and dry conditions and it was a particularly dangerous situation due to the fact the camper was close to a residence.

    Man my state won’t let volunteers use sirens, we just get blue lights and that’s it. Chiefs can run red but nobody else.

    Crown Vics are nice. But with the Gas Tank so close to the Rear bumper. If you get rear ended. That tank can open up and lead to a vehicle fire causing injury or Worse. Just speaking facts. I love Vics too.

    • @dustindonald9862
      @dustindonald9862 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not true. It’s above and to the rear of the rear axle. The P71 Crown Vics are rated for a 70 mph rear end impact that can be survivable. They’re tanks. I love my 99’

    • @hillbillyfromtilly3109
      @hillbillyfromtilly3109 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also the P71 has a automatic fuel pump kill switch if anything is to happen it will shut off the fuel pump and everything else. I owe a 04 P71.

      They got that to title from the square body Vic's, the new body style is alot safer, anything can happen tho. Mine had an auto kill system and some of them even have built in extinguishers

    My question is just because you “heard” that another district, agency or department was getting toned out to a call what gives you the legal right to run code?? If you are in your POV and running code without your direct station being paged you are commuting so many crimes it’s bot funny. And being your driving a Crown Vic to a Fire Call, I’m betting this is a personal rig.

      @@chrisborders5845 It depends on what your protocol is but the state allows all volunteer fire, ems and rescue to run POV as long as the county/city allows it
