On Tuesday, Azure Storage Mover for SMB and Azure Files entered public preview. Azure Storage Mover is a fully managed migration service that enables you to migrate on-premises files and folders to Azure Storage while minimizing downtime for your workload. You can use Storage Mover for different migration scenarios such as lift-and-shift, and for cloud migrations that you have to repeat occasionally. Azure Storage Mover also helps maintain oversight and manage the migration of all your globally distributed file shares from a single storage mover resource.
Also on August 2nd, Azure Arc Jumpstart Agora was announced. Jumpstart Agora is a marketplace of various “cloud to edge” industry scenarios, designed to provide an end-to-end user experience. Jumpstart Agora's mission is to create a rich marketplace of applications that can leverage Hybrid Cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and make those accessible for enablement and educational purposes via the Jumpstart automation mechanisms.
