I was thinking tough, instead of playing the original track over the live video (which I totally get why you do in the first place), would it be possible to record the output going to the concert speakers in real time so you can still use the audio from that performance without the background noise (or at least less o fit) than you get with the camera audio? Always love seeing these live videos and all your music. Keep it up! p.s. Any plans for an Australian tour?
There actually was a board recording done and I considered using it but as is often the case, the live camera audio sounded more alive and vibrant - and more reflective of what was heard in the room during the show. I'm typically not a fan of board mixes because they are usually very dry and you can't hear the room reverb or the energy from the crowd - the times when they are cheering or singing along. (unless there is an experienced engineer whose only focus is on getting a good live recording) Anyway, I tried a few different audio combos for this video and this seemed to be the best of the limited choices :)
