Great holster, you did a great job on it. I love 3:10 to Yuma, great movie. I just realized that Terence Hill is from my favorite childhood movie, Super Fuzz; where he plays a rookie cop that gets super powers from a nuclear explosion. Suppa, suppa suppa.
I dont think Ben Foster gets enough hype for his role as Charlie Prince. I thought he did a phenominal acting job playing CP. He draws and reholsters his schofields everytime he fires. You can see his "hidden love" for Ben Wade. Hes supposed to be borderline obsessed or even in love with Wade.
Ben Foster has played a wide range of characters, CP is nothing like the character he played in The Punisher. He's probably one of my favorite bad guys in a Western.
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview I did enjoy it and the pants probably will be the hardest to find. I’ve only got my eye on one piece of the outfit and that’s the jacket I’ve commented twice before but they are not showing it might be because i pasted a link so you could check it out and see if it’s a good jacket from the real one he wears in the movie so I’ll just say the name of the company it’s called: celebleatherjackets
I would avoid getting the jacket from them. They only show screen shots from the movie and no pictures of the jacket they make. I ordered the Pale Rider jacket from a company similar to this one. It was not even close to the movie jacket. I contacted them and their only reply was "Refund". I did get my money back and they didn't even want me to return the one they sent to me. It was bad, real bad! The Charlie Prince jacket is not exactly like the movie one but it's pretty close and the maker actually had pictures of the one they make on their website.
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview thanks for the advice. There are other jackets on that site that do show pictures and I bought one from them I’m waiting on it was a dr king schultz so time will tell here’s hoping. And again thanks for the advice.
Oh you can make these holsters in any style you want, there is no limit but if you want to make the holster that the character Charlie Prince wore in 3:10 to Yuma, it must be made this way.
Just for the record: Terence Hill is shown here in "My nameis Nobody", director Tonino Valerii, but the idea was from Sergio Leone. Terence Hill is the alias-name of Mario Girotti, an Italian-born actor with a German mother. He's still acting, for TV mostly. That means, he's in business for mor than 50 years. Oh, last one to to forget: Henry Fonda was in that movie too! BTW: NICE job wit this rig!
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview I am gonna attempt to make my first cartridge belt soon. You and duke frazier have inspired me to try it. Hopefully it will turn out half as good as your work.
I "made" the hat, it was reshaped from a Cattleman's crease hat. Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/kH_MgMs2L98/w-d-xo.html The jacket was from ebay: www.ebay.com/usr/milano_leather_jackets?_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2559
Sometimes, although I did not do it on this one. I usually just do a stitch groove to keep the top of the stitches just below the top of the leather and help prevent a lot of wear.
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview lol. Thanks. Always wondered that. Makes sense. One less variable to worry about too, as retention changes over time as the holster wears.
Oh and I found a great video from road agent leather where he does a toe plug and he stitches with a awl from the outside, heres a link the his video and the part starts at 18.05mins in. th-cam.com/video/0_mgwIYZeXo/w-d-xo.html
@michaeldooley1230 you will have to email Will Gormley. He does things "Old School" he doesn't do credit cards or online payments. You'll have to email him and tell him what you want. He'll tell you to either write a check or send a money order for the amount of the pattern plus shipping and handling. He does combine shipping on multiple patterns up to a certain number. I wish he took credit cards, I'd probably have a bunch more of his patterns if he did. Will is a good guy, and he will deliver the items you order.
Great workshop..! Nicely done.
Thank you! 👍
Such a fine craftsman you are Ricardo Prince!
Thank you Sir! I really appreciate that!
WOW ... AMAZING job pard !

Great job Richard on making those holster beautiful craftsmanship
Thanks 👍
Thanks for this. I've learned to focus on so many details by watching your videos.
Glad to help!
Wow that turned out beautiful. I really like the red suede on the inside
Thanks! It's just a shame that I cant find veg tanned suede, oh well, it's not my EDC. Thanks for watching!
Great to see another holster video :) Really appreciate you sharing your awesome work with us
Much appreciated!
Another great project. I applaud you for hand stitching that. A lot of work but it is beautiful.

@@SmallCaliberArmsReview Your welcome
I built one of those and used milled veg-tanned leather dyed red as a liner. Turned out great. Wish veg-tanned suede was easy to find.
I should have done the same. Thanks for watching!
Excellent work
Many thanks!
Excellent video, Richard. I have done enough leather work to know that you are very good at it. Cheers!

@@SmallCaliberArmsReview Oh yea he was the guy with all piercings in the Punisher. That was good role too.
Completely opposite characters, and a good job on both of them.
love you work

First time on the channel I think.
This is really cool I can’t wait to get all the pieces for this outfit!!
Hope you enjoy! The pants will probably the hardest to find. Thanks for watching!

I will make changes I’m not big of the stitching or the metal conchos on it. To each there own, am I right?

Road Agent Leather has a good toe plug video
He had some great tips
Yes, I've watched lots of his videos.
Where did you get the jacket and hat
I "made" the hat, it was reshaped from a Cattleman's crease hat. Here's the video:

The jacket was from ebay:

do you hammer down your stitching?
Sometimes, although I did not do it on this one. I usually just do a stitch groove to keep the top of the stitches just below the top of the leather and help prevent a lot of wear.
I wonder how much retention real quick-draw people use(d).
I've seen some of their holsters that look more like a bucket than a holster. Zero retention. Thanks for watching!

I've seen it several times, he makes it look easy! It's not super difficult, it's just that it's so easy to make it look bad.
Where did you get the coat from?

Where can you find the pattern for sale?
Look in the description below the video. I put a link to Mr. Ghormley's website.

Yes, I went there & it says to purchase at Tandy. They don’t have it listed.
