The theme for Shredders stage is one of the best fighting game themes ever. I hadn't played this game for nearly 30 years (until recently) but I still remembered that theme.
Had the biggest crush on her and there was a chick just like her at this party. Aska ramming her ass into you, forced cunnalingus ala Sophitia and Cassandras. Wow, how'd that get onto Nintendo?
Back in the day I emulated the hell out of this and focused solely on the turtles, Mikey doing combos and don being the poke-master... now I see different things about it. Such as how I swear that Shredder is even MORE cheeked up than Aska. Just observe man's back during a Claw Crusher. It's upsetting, it is...
This is how broken this game really is in general: your ultimate Attacks from the Gauge, only fill up quicker if your life is 25% below do the Ultimate Attack on your enemy wether they block or don't? it's Instant Death but it varies in the Instant Death for example: 1. if he or she blocks during the UA being performed, it'll instantly kill your character because the s of the game isn't very accurate at times that it's suppose to have a chip block performed. 2. another instant kill would be if the game is being played in Fast 2 mode. which can be found in the options. and there's a much faster mode than that in secret. furthermore, if you play this game at Level Difficulty 7 and Speed 2, Matches will end a lot quicker than 2 seconds the most tops. oh believe me i can go over the whole game's biggest broken parts of the game and still LOVE IT for it!!! The game is a better exocuted version of Street Fighter 2 done right. here's a small sample of what i mean: Mike: Roll Attack on any (Turtle Character) they will be stunned in seconds due to Mike's Roll Attack never ending as it's meant to end when it hits his opponents. that's if you tap the Fierce Button rapidly after performing it directly and if it hits rapidly hit it. but it won't work on Sub-Boss as the villains for ASKA she easily defeats all Mike's and all other Turtles Special Moves. which is a bummer.
They refer to him as Cyber Shredder because the game takes place during the time when Karai was the head of the Foot Clan if I am not mistaken. This would be toward the end of Volume 1 of the original comic.
I had this game growing up. I'll admit it did give me a lot of trouble. The worst was getting to Karai, and just getting murdered with slam after slam, and the attacking hands. Donatello was my go to and when I wanted to have fun it was Shredder and Aska. Story mode was decent actually. Also, Ratking made me laugh because of his walk and his grunts.
Max I hope your not serious about this Legacy run being only this game. YOU HAVE TO GIVE SHREDDER A SHOT IN MUTANT MELEE! The game was on Game Cube and PC.
Remember entering a TMNT Tournament Fighters tournament at Blockbuster with my big brother. He kicked my ass to prepare for it and at the tournament but we had fun. My favorite character was Michelangelo because he reminded me of Ken and Ryu. Good Times!
Loved the Video, Max! This WAS THE GAME that introduced me to fighting games. Randomly saw the cartridge at a swap meet and was amazed by the cover art. Been in love ever since.
I remember playing this as a kid. I feel so blessed I was around for these gems and experienced the hype around them in its time. Those golden ages will never come back. But we might get even better times hopefully
SNES version for me, but it was purely from rentals. I probably rented it myself about 3 times; but me and my friends back then used to split rental costs from time to time and rented games to play them together too. In the end I think I rented this game about 10 times over maybe just one year. At the time I was a mega TMNT fan and this game topped the list of fighters on consoles along with Alpha 2 (SNES), MK2 and UMK3 (SNES). I actually preferred Tournament Fighter over regular Street Fighter 2 / SF2 Turbo (with the exception of Alpha 2). They truly had something good in their hands with this game, they should have continued with this and improved it 'Turbo' style like SF2 had. But I suspect that it never happened simply because it didn't sell enough, and the competition was too strong (obviously SF and MK were the kings at the time).
People used this sprite of Shredder to make an insanely OP boss version of Shredder in MUGEN as well called Psycho Shredder. That guy was an absolute monster.
@@SorenKisamora Like the strongest version of Psycho Shredder could dodge like 90 percent of all attacks due to wonky ass hurtboxes, moved and attacked fast as shit, could spam full screen supers while still attacking and had a one shot kill super. Busted? Armaggon and Chrome Dome are insanely good lol Shredder is dope too. They have tournaments that get pretty hype and also they have TMNT vs Justice League Task Force that looks fun.

I wish I had known about this game as a child cause every time I have seen it as an adult I can't help but be impressed with how good it is if only konami still made games like this
Oh I don't consider Shredder that busted when Karai exists, She's an absolute hellspawn. Normals that go forward, little cooldown, and Muda Muda blows that can corner your opponents. Not too mention she's really quick in her walk speed. She's perfect for a Boss Character, too much for a playable one.
Believe it or not, the C in his name stands for Cyber. It’s possible he’s not the real Shredder or maybe he got modifications done to himself, however I can’t picture him resorting to to go that far. Had the biggest crush on her and there was a chick just like her at this party. Aska ramming her ass into you, forced cunnalingus ala Sophitia and Cassandras. Wow, how'd that get onto Nintendo?
Nintendo wasn't that strict back in the 90s the only thing they censored on aska were her shorts which were made not to show her ass so much.
Hard to play when you've only got one hand, bro.
Ayyyyyyyy I get ya
Back in the day I emulated the hell out of this and focused solely on the turtles, Mikey doing combos and don being the poke-master... now I see different things about it. Such as how I swear that Shredder is even MORE cheeked up than Aska. Just observe man's back during a Claw Crusher. It's upsetting, it is...
This is how broken this game really is in general:
your ultimate Attacks from the Gauge, only fill up quicker if your life is 25% below
do the Ultimate Attack on your enemy wether they block or don't? it's Instant Death
but it varies in the Instant Death for example:
1. if he or she blocks during the UA being performed, it'll instantly kill your character
because the s of the game isn't very accurate at times that it's suppose to have
a chip block performed.
2. another instant kill would be if the game is being played in Fast 2 mode. which can be
found in the options. and there's a much faster mode than that in secret.
furthermore, if you play this game at Level Difficulty 7 and Speed 2, Matches will end
a lot quicker than 2 seconds the most tops.
oh believe me i can go over the whole game's biggest broken parts of the game and still
LOVE IT for it!!! The game is a better exocuted version of Street Fighter 2 done right.
here's a small sample of what i mean:
Mike: Roll Attack on any (Turtle Character) they will be stunned in seconds due to
Mike's Roll Attack never ending as it's meant to end when it hits his opponents.
that's if you tap the Fierce Button rapidly after performing it directly and if it hits
rapidly hit it. but it won't work on Sub-Boss as the villains for ASKA she easily defeats
all Mike's and all other Turtles Special Moves. which is a bummer.
Tournament Fighters had such a dope soundtrack.
as funny as it is to keep calling it Raw Hooker, the move is actually called Aura Crusher, that's straight out of the manual
They refer to him as Cyber Shredder because the game takes place during the time when Karai was the head of the Foot Clan if I am not mistaken. This would be toward the end of Volume 1 of the original comic.
I don’t think Karai was around when the original comics came out.
I loved this game, needs to be a modern remake
Max I hope your not serious about this Legacy run being only this game.
YOU HAVE TO GIVE SHREDDER A SHOT IN MUTANT MELEE! The game was on Game Cube and PC.
Little known fact karai in many tmnt universes is shredders daughter. Ripley has come to challenge max for the title of dood! Lol
And to think this wasn't even the real Shredder... we can only wait in fear of his wrath.
I still got skills playing this game to this day classic 90s baby.
I loved this game. We got it for Christmas when it came out. My brother and I played it so much.
8:56 The "I Love You" lady on the poster winks and stuff when a round is over. Maybe she is the *raw hookah* that Shredder won't stop yelling about.
I remember playing this as a kid. I feel so blessed I was around for these gems and experienced the hype around them in its time. Those golden ages will never come back. But we might get even better times hopefully
TMNT: TF was insane. I had it for NES. What about y’all?
I had the genesis version
I had the snes version and it was crazy
I spent lets of hours screaming dragon breath playing this as a kid
This along with ssf2 and ffs were the best fighting games on snes.
That throw feels so good when it hits.
People used this sprite of Shredder to make an insanely OP boss version of Shredder in MUGEN as well called Psycho Shredder. That guy was an absolute monster.
At some point he was OP for Mugen, but is pretty Tame these days compared to the Arms Race folks eventually got into.
@@SorenKisamora I mean when there’s characters who just one shot you when the round starts, you can’t get more broken than that.
@@SorenKisamora Like the strongest version of Psycho Shredder could dodge like 90 percent of all attacks due to wonky ass hurtboxes, moved and attacked fast as shit, could spam full screen supers while still attacking and had a one shot kill super. Still no match for characters with absurd projectile spam or spammable one shot moves.
@@videogamer678 There are characters that Win if you simply Boot up Mugen. You can get more Broken, I assure you.
@@SorenKisamora wtf XD. That’s great
WWF wrestlmania on SNES is the best if you can get a hold of it
Yo my FGC crew rocked this game! It was like a proto-ST game, it was so good!
I remember when the Jon era Grumps played this game and Jon lost it at Armaggon's flying attack
Busted? Armaggon and Chrome Dome are insanely good lol Shredder is dope too. They have tournaments that get pretty hype and also they have TMNT vs Justice League Task Force that looks fun.
I vividly remember me and my cousin getting this game at the same time for SNES(me) and Genesis(him) bro when he saw how much better the SNES version was he was crying ugly!
The genesis version only has 3 buttons, punch kick and taunt. It's hard to do combos in that version also. If it had 6 buttons and fixed some gameplay mechanics it would be awesome.
@@marccaselle8108 that and the graphics and sound were just rancid compared to the SNES version. I didn't believe what he was gripping about till I played it...
It's crazy how good this game was back in the day. A non-Capcom, non-SNK game that wasn't a clone of street fighter or fatal fury.
@AT Productions Yeah but not to the point where either Capcon or SNK felt threatened. You couldn't say this about something like Data East's Fighter's History. That was so similar that they got into a legal battle over Capcom over it.
22:48 "Konami since 1969"
nice
I remember playing this game and when I saw Aska I thought I never saw her in the show. I dont remember seeing Kira in the game either, cuz we just played versus game all day lol.
The game was going to feature Mitsu from the 3rd movie but they didn't have the rights to use her so they made Aska instead. Or it might have been due to the movie being a flop. It's one of the two.
I remember going over to my neighbors house and playing this game oh my god, some deep delving nostalgia right there. I remember always picking that purple frilled guy cuz he looked cool
Pender if you're talking about the turtle with the purple bandana that's Donatello with the bow staff.
For me, it sounded like shredder was saying "Wahd crusher" and i always found that noise he makes during the tiger knee move to be funny.
Miles:You have no idea how OP Shredder was
Mugen PSYCHO SHREDDER: No... You have no idea at all how OP Shredder was indeed... -_-
:P HAHAHAH OOPS
Rat King and Karai both are hidden bosses that have super simple infinites.
22:02 max mashin' like there's no tomorrow! 🤣👆
I remember having this game for Genesis and it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! I was so sad. Not a bad game but the SNES version was where it was at.
Max shredder have another fighting game is: TMNT Smash up!
I wish I had known about this game as a child cause every time I have seen it as an adult I can't help but be impressed with how good it is if only konami still made games like this
Don't forget TMNT Mutant Melee. That's a fighting game that has 2 shredders playable. Even a special gold version/boss version of him as well.
when max looks down at his controller and his eyes get huge after someone says x and a is super.... KILLED me
Oh I don't consider Shredder that busted when Karai exists, She's an absolute hellspawn.
Normals that go forward, little cooldown, and Muda Muda blows that can corner your opponents. Not too mention she's really quick in her walk speed. She's perfect for a Boss Character, too much for a playable one.
I could be wrong but I think her and The Rat King are hidden characters you can unlock.
Believe it or not, the C in his name stands for Cyber. It’s possible he’s not the real Shredder or maybe he got modifications done to himself, however I can’t picture him resorting to to go that far.
There are codes in the game, one I remember let’s you do supers in story mode, forgot the rest though 😅
This music is so nostalgic. I rented this game a couple times
This game and "Fighting Masters", were my first introduction to fighting games. I'll never forget those days as a kid...
So glad to see you covering TMNT TOURNAMENT FIGHTERS with The Shred-Dude!! Not only one of the best games made by Konami, but easily the best version...The Super NES BABY!
Claw crusher that’s what he’s saying max 😂😂😂
I always loved the echo-y voice effects in this game
Oh just in my childhood!! I still have this game cartridge for the SNES, it just rocked!!
I remember you could use codes to use the bosses.
Playable Kirai was the cheapest, most OP, broken character ever.
Can't forget that SNES Tournament Fighter's Shredder blessed us with the absolute classics in Cyber Shredder and Psycho Shredder for MUGEN. Those two have been mainstays for most of MUGEN's existence.
My friend growing up had this for the Genesis. I mained Casey Jones and every fight was brutally hard. Definitely a steep difficulty spike lol
This game was awesome.. I remember seeing mickeys special for the first time and being mesmerized by it. He gives you a brutal ultra style combo and shouting attack attack attack while he does it 😍😍
Just noticed the screen’s been cropped this entire time
Shredder in tournament fighter be like: THINK ABOUT IT!!!
THINK TURTLES, THINK!
