Definitely enjoy seeing what you enjoy! I'm glad to see you stick to your curriculums. I am going to do the science you're doing next year. It's super cool to hear how you have kept up with the science projects!
It can be really enticing to switch, but ultimately I feel like it’s best for my kids to go through the same one (unless it’s awful 😂) They’ve been really easy to implement!! Nothing too long or overwhelming 🙌🏼 Thank you!!
I enjoy any length, doesn’t matter to me! We’ve been enjoying dimensions as well. I took a break with brave writer joy it down, just couldn’t find time to add back in. I may look into dart as well as lightening lit/ lit house for 2nd grade this summer/fall!
Thank you!! Dart was easier for me to follow. Jot it down felt very broad and not specific enough, whereas dart has more specific ideas, but you’re still very much in control compared to other curriculums if that makes sense. And since each one is just for one book, it feels easier to fit it in since it’s not for the whole year. Hopefully that helps!! Thanks for watching ❤️
Cursive is a more natural movement. It’s why it used to be taught first. I always remember my art teacher explaining a straight line is one of the more difficult things to draw. I have an OT background and the handwriting w/o tears was written by an OT, but I don’t have much in-depth knowledge of the program. I agree with trying out different writing utensils like the pencil above… think of how you have a favorite pen etc. I personally LOVE old fashioned lidded BLUE ballpoints as they write smoothly or gel pens. I will always remember my Dad sitting down and having us practice handwriting like an art class as he had beautiful handwriting. But in the end it just needs to be legible lol.
That’s the pen he gravitates toward too! I’ll have to bring that in for handwriting, I didn’t think about that. Thanks, encouraging me to treat it more as an important subject, not just something to get through 🙈❤️
It’s helpful to see what is and is not working and it’s always good to hear great things about curriculum working. It’s discouraging when people hate all the curriculum they picked out 😅 Makes you wonder how / why they picked what they did.
Haha okay same!!! But I didn’t know if I was the odd one 😂 I like seeing how people add little fun things to keep their current curriculum interesting! Thanks for letting me know ❤️
Thanks! They’re all target :) the slimmer magazine style were discontinued, but still over here hoping they bring them back because I want more 😂 the math ones are under $10 and still available!
Love the baskets that have your kids books in! Need to find some like that
Thanks! These were like $5 at target 🙌🏼 I think only available in store or pickup :)
@@PiningOverHome awesome! I’ll be checking mine today.

Hahaha that is very true 😂😂 I definitely do *lots* of research and thinking before deciding on something. Thanks for the encouraging words ❤️❤️
The Moffats are our very favorite fictional family. Be sure to read all four books! I'm not sure I could even pick a favorite.
The synopsis sounds really sweet!! That’s good to know, I’ll definitely pick up the series from the library after this one 😍
I love watching what works for others. I actually tend to stay with channels that stick to their curriculum vs bouncing around. I like continuity 😂😂

Love these kinds of videos! Thanks for sharing :)
Okay that’s good to know thank you!! I’ll add them to my regular list ❤️
Girl do an hour long 😂 I feel like I’m in a conversation sometimes we need that when home alone with kids and only kids 😅❤
Hahah you’re awesome thank you 😂 don’t think my country internet could handle that upload 🤣
@@PiningOverHome I get that 😂
Where are the baskets from? They're so cute.

If he pushes really hard while writing you could try a .9 or higher mechanical pencils. I know it helps for those with Dyslexia or Dysgraphia.
I haven’t heard that! Thank you, I’ll see if that helps ❤️
