Rudolph Scheepers, Hendrico Lesch and Wimpie Kirsten bump into some tailing Belman/Baardman whilst fishing for Kob. It was down with the big tackle and out with the light gear as they try sight fish for them.
You guys rock and I respect your fishing. I were very fortunate to attend a presentation by Hendrico at Harten Hengel Outdoor 19/03/22(Fraai Uitsig Klein Brak) Ysters.
Arguably one of the best eating fish in the sea. They wont take white mussel in the Western Cape. Bloodwork or nothing. You're absolutely correct in saying they are deep sea fish that strangely come to the shallows for some odd reason.
yo man ! i recently moved to Pennington from pinetown with my parents ,living on the coast is amazing ,the sunrises on the beach :).still learning to fish and youve helped me alot with so much thank you for all your effort and the info .Keep the content rolling! enjoy watching your vids man

Belman isn't rare in the shallows we catch lots of them
You ever used those snail stuff as bait
We did think about it but found some muscles that were working
They always so shallow ... thers to different species
