If you fast travel with loaded vehicles you do not loose what’s in or on the vehicle like fs. Thanks for another great episode MSP. Keep up the great work mate. Keep em coming.
thats actually one of the reasons i have 2 hours in fs22, its hard, no real tutorial and takes too long
There is also a feature on the context wheel to fill or empty the vehicle with cost/reimbursement as appropriate if you don’t want to travel.
I’m also sure that fast travel doesn’t cost much more than the cost of the diesel anyway…..could be wrong.
You can press up on the d pad and it will show you your fleet and you can get in any vehicle from there
Tbh the controls are clunky, the graphics sometimes a bit glitchy……but there is just something about it that keeps me coming back for more lol
you can not sell the vehicles you receive from the start.
You are able to sell any purchased vehicles at the vehicle trader.
Any starter vehicles that you don't use anymore, I suggest you put them in the vehicle hall.
This unlocks when you get to the city . ( found this info on the steam forums ) hope it helps
Ive never worked in construction,nor have i ever played a simulation game. UNTIL YESTERDAY.I bought this game and am loving it.
The reasons for loving it are to me unfathomable but its a great game.i can't wait to progress deeper into the game
Like myself 1st go , on construction sim , had a little go on farming sim but wasn't that keen on it , but this game absolutely loving it too 👍
I worked construction with my dad when I was 15. I have pictures of me operating backhoes, excavators, front loaders, and riding compactors.
First another great video so entertaining, 👍👍 to sell your vehicle's they need to be stored in your place then you can sell them you can just store without driving there, happy my info helped, as I am a MrSealypeep on the contract info if you push down on the left joystick it will show you what you need, and on the black area press X to expand it 👍👍👍
This game has so many player-unfriendly things about it. For example, I was in a "build a warehouse" contract. I had set up my fast-erecting crane, I purchased some materials from the shop and had them delivered to the construction site. When they appeared on the site I had noticed I wasn't able to pick them up with the crane! The materials spawn point was too close to the base of the crane and I couldn't reel it in back enough to pick them up! Another bug was almost the same situation except there was a building next to the crane with a tall antenna and it prevented me from turning the crane just slightly to the right of its starting position to pick up the pallets. I had to rotate the crane more than 270 degrees just to get each pallet. Also, the cherry on top is the ps4 version that I'm on has terribly blurry decals on the vehicles. Like anything that has logos, or even vents or safety stickers, are just not rendering fully. This game is a big mess. Was hoping for a bit more effort with this game.
This is so much better and sounds better than FS22 I haven't played FS22 in days since i downloaded Construction Simulator 2022

I wouldn't say it's better. Just different. If you like farming simulator you'll probably like this too. They are very similar. Kind of reminds me of a mix of farming sim, and SnowRunner

If you hold the triangle button while doing a job it will show a grid that shows what still needs worked.
Greetings Sir Mr. SealyP Just a quick note. If you go to the job tab, Looking at current job. Click on the tab for each step and it will tell you required materials and suggested equipment. This way you know if you can return the dozer or save it. Your doing a great job, hope you continue . Have a spectacular day
I FINALLY figured out how to see from inside the cab. Once I did that, the excavator and backhoe were a total breeze.
turn in rented machines as soon as you are done with them you only pay for that time. the longer you keep it the more it costs you.
also when in the machine dealer hit the square button and it will group all like machines together rollers ,dozers , dump trucks ect.

The fleet rigs you start off with you can't sell. But you go into your storage/shop and can sell equipment you've purchased. I'm 17 hours into the game and I own a pickup, a pump truck, redimix truck, the smaller mobile crane, couple flatbed trailers, and soil & asphalt compactors. Takes a while to get the money saved up. But I've been "cheating" too by using fast travel, having all materials delivered (cuz that's how the big boys do it at the big herkin sky scraper job sites I'm on every day and selling export earth, asphalt etc straight from the job site.
Sometimes though, you'll have leftover building materials from a job. You have to load those up manually and take them to your warehouse in order to complete the job. Sure, you can use them on future jobs, but it's kind of a pain having to do that manually.
I'm also just starting on the campaign contracts, that's where the big big money is. It took me a few to figure out how to get that to be available, and how to purchase the second business property.
I think I still have a small handful of locations to discover, I've been scooting around in that orange little coupe. That's fun to drive.
All my trucks are Kenworth, all my equipment are CAT. It's a 'Murica thang, I'm sure yall get it. When I get to do the European map, then I'll use European trucks and equipment.
Loving this game so far, there's some glitchy stuff in the video graphics that I hope get addressed, and the concrete boom pumps are a pain to use, but they're still far less complicated than operating one IRL.
I gotta go get more coffee, as I'm sure you can tell, I've done been thru a couple pots this morning.

In the USA leaving a vehicle alone with the bucket or the dozer blade off the ground unattended is a $20,000.00 fine the 1st offense.
Yah know when placing stuff with a crane, once it’s gone green you can drop it, it will snap into the correct place 👍🏻

I'm restarting my play through. Buy a dump truck. I was getting like 7k for soil and the dump truck wasn't even full.
It was nice of someone to dump a load of earth next to the trench after you went and sold what you dug out, eh? ;)
Need to invest in this game, it looks so good! I do however have my doubts it'll run smoothly on ps4..
I'm going to buy 2 flight sticks so I can operate them like the real tractors. I'm pretty sure that's possible on pc.

You can do the same with leftover concrete at the green hopper thingy, next to where you fill your mixer up.

One of the jobs my late husband used to do was asphalt paving (yes, he had a few different types of jobs throughout his lifetime) Heavy equipment operator, various truck driving jobs and asphalt paving. By the way, I would hire you in a heartbeat. 💚 You did a great job for never having operated a backhoe before and you only get experience when someone decides to give you the opportunity to learn. What do you do when you start a new contract but says unfortunately there’s no recommendations and I can never find a foreman what am I doin wrong

Buy this 1. Then in a month, buy her some flowers (just because) and a week later while your still in the good books, hit her up for the fs expansion pack. That’s what I would do. Only I’d have to do it the next day as I can’t risk not still being in the good books a week later.

The working lights of the machines as well as on the construction sides - well let's say these could use some improvment.
My tip is to buy the pick-up and use its headlights to light up your workarea
You can empty the material in the truck without driving it anywhere and still get paid.
Good job Mr. Sealy P working hard to catchup to you. I down loaded the game. I did the paving job first I find the dcontrols oppisite of what I think they should be. other then that it is fun Just like Fs 22.

Question to all: I've been playing on US map and haven't looked at europe yet. Can I use the same character, with all the skills I've got, in the other map. Or do I have to start from scratch?
You can use the same character for both map, but you have to do the tutorial on both maps. The economy, skills and vehicles are just for the map you are on, not both.
@@jax_swe Ok, thanks. I might as well create a new character then. I asked because the stats page showed stats for both maps (i.e. 200 collectibles) and thought the skills might carry over

Is anyone else having crashing issues on PS5? Have about 2-3 crashes an hour playing and lose some progress.
the tower crane would be a better option mate as it can lift heavier stuff , also the articulated dump truck is a great buy too

MrSealyp - regarding game saves - here’s a working solution that you might find helpful for times when you want to ‘test’ or experiment on something without being stuck with the unknown results from testing etc. -> simply go to PS5 Settings and upload your current game save data file to the “cloud” - that gives you a backup game save file to fall back on - then test/experiment as you please, if not happy with the test results - then quit & close the game - then go back to PS5 Settings and download your save game data file from the cloud to console, overwriting the experimental save with the last good save.

In the settings, camera section you can turn off the dynamic camera.
Then won't move around to places you don't want it to.
One would think in 2022, we could finally get 'DIRT' physics! Everything else looks wonderful though. I could imagine this with a specialized controller and First person view, would be a blast!
