      The white evangelical voters are so easily fooled; and by a POTUS who came from show business. These evangelicals would have gushed over Hitler if Hitler dangled the carrot of false religious support. They should wonder why he takes from the poor and gives to the rich. The evangelicals should study their religion; and absorb the part where Jesus, the Christ told them how hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

    • @RiversBliss
      @RiversBliss 7 ปีที่แล้ว +55

      No one exposes anyone in hollywood unless someone in the higher up says so, hence he was doing it for *3 decades* and it was a known fact in hollywood.
      There are reason why they don't investigate Thandie Newton, Corey Feldman, Marilyn Monroe, etc. sexual predators.
      If they wanted to expose them, they would have done that more than 10 decades ago.

      Rohan Dhakal The Oscar awards are decided by the Academy, which is a bunch of actors, producers, directors and others in the industry voting to decide who wins Oscars.
      The backers of a particular movie, actor whatever then "sell" it to the members of the Academy to try to influence their vote. They do this by offering monetary things, applying pressure, using their influence, promises etc. So you need an example? How about every single award show and every single Oscar that is awarded.

For the abused that is something I can understand, being a top movie star and living in the lime light and then coming out as a rape victim isn't easy. Nobody however can convince that the academy didn't have a clue. Child actors being abused in Hollywood is an open secret, still nothing is coming out - brian singer is one of em!

    So basically these women kept quiet mostly in self interest because these are very successful women putting other young actresses at risk by not speaking up and now that it's out they feel "brave" enough to talk? I don't like victim blaming but I don't view these actresses as poor helpless little women. Weinstein is a monster but they sure made a career off of this monster.

And then I asked, "if it was that bad for people who didn't make it, how bad do you think it is for the people who have?" And then that came out. What a sad industry that allows this to happen for THIRTY years before doing anything.

    It's horrible what he has done, and what he is! But obviously the whole 'system' is corrupt and they have ALL accepted it. It is difficult to call the people speaking out against him "courageous" as they all have kept quiet for so many years... decades even. So they too are corrupt. At the risk of sounding like some religious person, when you accept this behaviour you lose something, that should be more important than the chance of getting a movie role, or staying 'friends' with the right people; I think they once called it "personal integrity".

    For years people have been saying that if a person wanted to make it big as an actor or actress in hollywood, they better be willing to do ANYTHING to achieve it, and if they were successful, they most likely DID.
    Out of all these well known actresses who are coming forward with these allegations against that fat slob, the only one I view as having the guts to stand up to him was Courtney Love. Years ago she came to the defense of someone whom Harvey was molesting and was about to take him to task, but of course crooked power pushers in the legal business shut down her efforts.

    What really irks me is that for the sake of fortune and fame, almost all of the players in this, those rising up and those in power, kept their mouths shut fully knowing about Hollywood, things that happen behind the scenes and more. Surely, the buzz had to be going on between women and others but only after all seems to be lost the victims choose to speak out. The Hollywood crap like this is as old as Hollywood itself. Pull up the interview with Larry King speaking to Shirley Temple about her private encounter with Louie B Mayer in his office at MGM. This legendary studio owner pulled his pants down and he exposed himself causing Shirley to laugh it off and walk out effectively ending her movie career but the young woman had her principles and body of past work to look back on.
