Its not an expansion to me, its an overpriced quest pack. Give it a few months is my advice.
SSG need to stop doing this. Delay the expansion till the instances are ready so the "expansion" launches with some actual bloody CONTENT!

they've always done this drip content. But I get the frustration with having no new instances... and no storvs doesn't count as content, just as part of the grind to keep us hamsters busy and waiting in anticipation.

Can you please tell me where in Umbar I can find the allegiance npc so I can choose an allegiance ? Thank you as the video was helpful.

So the quest chain for the allegiance npc's start in Jax Phanal which is the first town you come to once you reach Umbar proper.

You forgot to mention that the red sea stones are available from the Lotro store, also adventurers gear drop in lootboxes along with Embers. Otherwise, nice review.

I appreciate the open look, I've already made my mind up on not buying anything more from LOTRO at this point, it took a long time but its the point to step off the game.
To me it _died gracefully_ back in 'Where Dragons Dwell', even as things were on developmental rocks, things still looked new and very cool for how limited the graphical systems are. I took a step into Anfalas and just felt a profound disappointment at how bland and empty it felt, it is a huge difference in the magic of landscape creation between the 'Then' and 'Now', which is sadly too much for me.
The Cape of Belfalas has one of the most magical ocean coastlines I've been in a game (new graphics or old) and the visual trailer for Corsairs of Umbar just read to me as not even trying, so I am afraid I cannot agree with saying the graphics got an upgrade. The visuals are distinct enough to make that view challenge the rest of the game style but an earnest look at Enedwaith, the Great River, the Dale-lands, The Second Hall or Nothern Ithilien will paint a different picture immediately and though I do not enjoy saying so, it is the first time I have agreed with the 'PS2 video game look' opinion. LOTRO has never looked perfect but it managed to look excellent within the confines of its restrictions, Corsairs of Umbar looks old, it is both too similar to the rest of LOTRO (lacking in how strong the difference between Gondor and Breeland is) and too different (in its colour scheme and vegetation being new but just feeling like replaced assets). The expansion regions just look wrong to me.
Outside of the graphics though, its great how you approach each aspect of the expansion. Its nice to get an overview of the available gearing process as well. It sounds like you are touching on everything as someone informed on the game but not entrenched in it, which I really appreciate.

thanks so much for watching and I get it. It's difficult to compare LOTRO to say BDO because they're built on completely different engines. I don't know that LOTRO will ever get that massive overhauls simply because it is a HUGE game that can probably not be ported over easily. So given the limitations that they have, I feel like they've done as good as they can. thanks for stopping by and hope you'll stop in for future videos.
