    I'll love you talking about Oscar Wilde's work. Anything by him.

      I love Wilde as well! And I would love to do a video on The Importance of Being Ernest someday.

      Funny enough Rex Harrison, who performed Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady's original broadway and movie adaptation cast, also performed in an audio adaptation of Wilde's "An Ideal Husband", which thankfully is easily available on Spotify.

      @@claudiasiefer8495 Haha, no worries. I need a reminder to listen closer to my audio every now and then. My Michigan accent swallows "T's" and spits them out where they don't belong. Thank you for watching!

    If you’ve been reading and even teaching Pygmalion so long why do you think Liza is homeless?

    • @OxfordCommaEducation
      @OxfordCommaEducation  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You are correct that she is not technically homeless. Though Shaw's later edits of the play show that her living conditions would be considered barely above homeless by modern London standards. I was using the term for rhetorical effect- like how the characters in act one see her.
