- This edition of Bb. Pilipinas Pageant is historic and extra special for me for two reasons, it is the 50th Anniversary of the Pageant and got to see on-stage almost a hundred former Bb. Pilipinas titleholders truly a very nostalgic moment and secondly after more than a year of ups and down, my pageant protegee, Mutya Johanna Datul a modern day Cinderella from the Province of Isabela finally got her long-cherished dream to become Bb. Pilipinas, my second Bb. Pilipinas titleholder after Tiffany Cuna who won the Bb. Pilipinas Maja in 1995.
Mutya later on won as the first Asian and Filipina Miss Supranational thus beginning the country's major crown victories in practically all International Pageant culminating in Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach's third Miss Universe title in 2015 and then again by Kylie Verzosa's Miss International win in 2016.
Historic talaga tong event na to. We were looking for the 3rd Miss Universe that time and she is really there that night.
Pia. But at that time, she may not have the crown. Yet. A perfect timing for her. Til 2015 came.
And also, batch 2013 is one of the most successful year for Binibinis

This is identical to what Thailand got for 2019.
Pero lamang pa rin tayo, Megan Young also won Miss World that year.

Pilipinas, at nasungkit nya ang Miss Universe Philippines 2015, at ito na nga, nasungkit na rin nya sa wakas matapos ang mahigit na 42 taon, naiuwi na rin nya ang elusive DIC Miss Universe crown, at muntik muntikan na syang maging first runner up talaga sa Miss Universe 2015 ah, kung 'di bumalik si Steve Harvey sa emtablado, diyusme back to back na naman ang Colombia nung 2015, pero nag sorry sya na nagkamali sya sa paganunsyo ng nanalo, at yun nga si Tita Pia na nga ang Miss Universe 2015, kaya isa na namang kasaysayan ang naitala sa mundo ng pagandahan
Bongga ang 2013 edition...may Live Band pa..panay ang sigawan kahit di pa nag sisimula ang program.

Can't believe it was almost 8 years ago. I remember when I watched this . It was Ariella, Mutya, and Parul who caught my attention. Hindi ko napansin si Pia dito not until she was announced first runner up. Funny is we are looking for the woman who will bring home our 3rd mu crown. Little did we know nandyan sya mismo sa gabing yan hanggang 2014 she was still there. Imagine nasa harap lang pala natin yung matagal an nating hinahanap. Then 2015 came, the right time for her. Glad she did not give up. Pia's success story is a testimony of beauty, hard work, and perseverance. Not just in pageants but in all aspects of life. Her story inspired me to try again after failing my first pageant. I came back the following year and eventually won. She is truly an inspiration.

The batch when 3 Isabelina’s joined. And Mutya Datul of Sta. Maria snatched one of the crowns. Eventually won Miss Supranational 2013.

Wow! This was 2013?? Back then we only had 2 Miss Universe's (Gloria and Margie). Little did we know, the 3rd crown was already a contestant in this batch 😱. Catriona was only 19 years old at this time 🤣

Probably one of the best editions in the history of BBP. They've produced strong and beautiful ladies even the ones who didn't make it to the crown, like imelda S.( Miss Earth PH 2016) Cassandra Naidas (Miss World 2015 1st runner up) Mariel De Leon (Miss International PH 2017)and of course Pia Wurtzbach. Maraming may potential.

Standout talaga si Ara during BB Pilipinas 2013 lakas ng dating. Pia looks forgetful here laki ng ginanda nya when she changed her teeth in BBP 2015.

It would have been amazing if they let these past winners introduce themselves like it a usual opening of a pageant. Nonetheless, this was a historic opening. And those winner from 1960s-1970s era, no words, goosebumps!!!
