I had this on a sketchy old tape back in the day and played it in my walkman until the tape died. Never new who it was or the song title. Finally found it.
There was amazing music in the 1980s but only one Tommy Boy label! Peace.
....I heard this on the radio today ..I danced like when this first came out, while watching the about six o'clock news naked....I just took a shower and cooled off, and I thought that this beat was worth sweating over again....Was and is one of the best of that time....
That intro is like a time machine, brings me back there heart and soul.

@Vaughn Baskin The fact is that "sound" has changed depends of the artist vision and the time. "Planet Rock" (beginning of 1982) defined huge part of the 1st clearly Hip Hop sound in the early 80s (along "Sucker MCs" on Profile records).. but remember that Electro hop sound cames from the tándem Baker-Robie-Jonzun.
