What a sweetheart he is. Simple, honest, and to the point. I lost it with "the hands on a clock!" What a good friend you are, lady!❤ BTW Happy Thanksgiving ❤
Darlene, we think Joe is a very sweet guy. Ever since you let us meet him. So glad you now understand his bipolar and diabetes challenges he experiences. Not takinb it seriously is the smart thjng. It's his diseases. He loves you. Sweet Joe ❤
I've been sober since 1990 and I thought that I had to drink to have fun {I was kinda shy in my younger years}. Love the letter that Joe wrote to you, when you read the part of special and you explained he didn't even see that, you were laughing and then I started laughing... the letter was cute and sweet!
It's nice to be appreciated and to be with someone who is kind hearted and warm. Sometimes you can find someone who appears to have it all together, but find out they are cold. I'm glad things are going good for you two.
I was laughing along with you when he left that blank 🤣 so glad to see you in a better place. I binge watch your old videos alot , you've come a long way, so proud of you
Good evening Darlene, thank you so much for sharing Joes note, it was truly special, it was cute & yup I'm sure that you'll always treasure those words. I have spent most of a long, long 39 yrs with the guy I'm still with & he has never written me any words that even come close to what Joe wrote to you. I met him in late April of 1985, by January of the next year, I had called one of my 3 sisters, whom was in Tulsa, Okla, when I was in Marietta, Ga. I had fully had it with tons of crap that he had put me thru, so she dropped everything her & her husband along with her 8 yrs old girl, came out to get me & my 2 kids. By the time they got to Marietta it was 1:30 in the morning, I invited them in for stay to sleep over & we'd leave in the morning, but nope they wanted to leave right away, so there we were 3 adults & 3 kids in the front seat of a pickup truck, very crowded & we were all tired from no sleep. I have that man that had put me & my kids thru so much that we had to leave like this, as I was aware that my sister used to also be an alcoholic & a drug user. We talked about it & she promised me that she quit all of that crap & after having a stint in prison, she had found the lord & became almighty religious. Well, my kids & I spent 2 months out there, during this time, I had found out that she was still drinking & using numerous types of drugs, I was bewildered to say the least. Here I was putting my 2 young kids under 5 yrs old in a terrible situation, I ended up contacting my ex, he wrote & wrote & wrote after a few days of this my sister kept trying to get to the mailbox before I did, mainly because she figured that he must be sending me money, well by the 3rd letter he was & he asked me to come back to Georgia, I hated to be in this predicament, but I felt that as unhappy as I was with him, that I had to leave as I felt that I could be in danger of losing my kids, since she was still using drugs & I also found she was growing weed in her attic. So, I told her that I was going to take a bus back to Ga. Well, that same week, they were getting kicked out for no pymt of their rent, so they offered to take me to Ga, so there we were all back in that front of the pickup truck once again, once there we went inside the townhouse he lived in & I never even got a damn hug & the kids weren't his, he could careless about them, later on my sister pointed out (wow that bastard didn't even seem glad to have you back & NO HUG), I told her he's always been that way. I guess I was just quite used to it, but after being gone for 2 months, I was hurt by it, but I hated the fact that I had to go back with him & if that wasn't bad enough, of course my sister, her hubby & her girl, had no place to go & no money to get there, so of course I felt obligated to offer them to stay. Afterall, they did drive out to get me & put up with me & my 2 very well behaved kids. Well by the next evening they asked for some beer, so my dumbass man friend I'll call (R) & I went to buy them some, back then you had to buy it at a package store in Ga. Once back I didn't notice anything wrong, but within a few days, we noticed (R) & I, that most of his work tools were missing, his fishing & hiking gear was gone, too, among other items, so we confronted them & they denied it, we hadn't had anyone else in the place at all, so we knew that it had to of been them that stole everything, we all got into a serious argument, (R) told them to get out or we'd call the police, it got ugly all in front of my lil' kids, too. Well, they did end up leaving, but my sister came a-knocking after 2 wks asking me for money, wow what a nerve she had, she told me the FBI had arrested her husband & was hoping we'd let her move back in, I told her I had to ask (R) about this, of course he said (HELL-NO), so once I met her at a close by park I told her he refused, she about blew up & stormed off with her kid, that night our house & garage got ransacked, I'm sure it was caused by my sister, she also stole more things & pawned everything at pawnshops. It's a darn shame when you can't even trust your own family member. Soon after that I guess that she moved back to Okla, I say good riddens, then (R) & I got into tons of arguments, so when he was at work, I took my kids & left & ended up in a homeless shelter, eventually I got some help & a small place to live, things didn't go very smoothly for me or my kids, but at least we got away & tried to start over. Well, I hope that you didn't mind my telling you this story of a smaller part of my life, lots has happened since then, maybe sometime I'll tell you more, there is a part 2.
I damn near pissed my pants when you read Joe's note, because your laugh is infectious. Bless him for writing those things - funny and cute at the same time. I think I sent some of my lunch flying, with laughing 😂 Best wishes to you, Joe & Rocket, from Derby UK ❤️
Oh that was so sweet. And thank you for the great laugh. Oh it is awesome Joe can still help people. Helping younger people feel comfortable at a meeting is a big deal. I hope they follow through and go with you guys. I hope they can get Joes meds right for him. My granddaughter is doing awesome and even has a job now.
Maybe he is reserving judgements before he fills in the blanks 😂, but how sweet and nice that he is aware of being grateful for you. Yeah I can see where it would crack you up, he probably thought basically the same thing like WTH is this assignment. A+ for Joe giving it the old college try.
Joe is a very social person and loves to help others. Sometimes the meds have to be changed every now and then. My brother was on a med that he had to get his blood checked every couple months. He doesn’t take that one anymore. I don’t know if you ever watched “Talking Kitty Cat” videos on TH-cam. You and Joe should watch them, they are hilarious. Steve Cash was super talented with his videos, songs and music, everything. He would disappear for months at a time because of his bi-polar Unfortunately he didn’t make it…. I cried all day when I heard what happened. He touched so many with his talent.
😂 Oh Darlene, when you Crack up, it is Hysterical!! I find myself smiling and laughing too! You and Joe have such a real connection; unlike, it seems, with Tony, who showed his real colors as time went on! You are a Blessing to Joe, 😅even though you're not special. ❤❤❤
It is good therapy for him and pray it helps with depression. Depression is real for diabetics. So sad he has had diabetes for so long. Thank you for sharing and helping Joe.
Love when your happy and laughing! I took care of a guy that was like a big teddy bear. Except one day he was nasty, vulgar, mean etc. I called my boss cause it was totally out of character for him. She contacted his daughter. She come over, here the Dr. put him on a new medicine. They took him off of it and put him back on the one he was on. A few days later he was back to himself. So I agree the wrong meds or dosage can change people
Hey Rockstar, it's so good to see you laugh so hard. Glad Blue Eyes is doing better. Please tell him hi and thank you for sharing. That letter was really adorable. Have him fill in the one he missed. I want to know what he writes. Happy Thanksgiving.
Any chance of Joe getting a dexcom device or another wearable glucose monitor? Seems like it would be a bit easier to help him when he doesn’t want his finger pricked. Just curious. Also your laugh is contagious!😂
That is so awesome, God gave us each other to love and hold to cherish that give him Glory. As he created us to love each other. God bless you and Joe. 💯
I was laughing just hearing you laugh about it. I have an idea that you might not have thought about concerning the high blood sugar days (I'm a diabetic, too)...maybe, you could have a word or a paper he signs when he is thinking straight, that you could show him to alert him that it is something he should be taking seriously and trust your judgment about it when he isn't thinking straight and a signal that you need to give him a shot? Who knows it might work and he would feel he is in control of the decision?
The Bi polar state, sometimes it’s called manic depression! They do say some very strange things when in that state. I love hearing your talks (therapy for me). It really doesn’t matter what people say or do the important part is that you and Joe are happy together
I swear my husband is bi- polar, as well as being a type II diabetic and former alcoholic. His mood swings are terrible and he is never funny unfortunately. Just mean. And takes it all out on me. Kudos to Joe and you are special for many reasons Darlene. I' m sure Joe did miss that one. Hi to Rocket too. I have to learn to just walk away or if he is texting and calling me with his abuse, just cut him off. Because it will go on all day long. Anywho as my neighbor used to say, thanks for sharing. From SC.😎
I DON'T THINK YOU'RE MAKING FUN OF JOE. SOMETIMES WE DO OR SAY THINGS THAT ARE JUST COMICAL TO THE OPPOSITE SEX. JOE IS VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE YOU IN HIS WORLD . GOD BLESS YOU BOTH. YOU MAKE A GREAT PAIR .
Joe is simple and sweet …I recently lost my husband of 40 yrs.. he also was so sweet and simple ..the world needs more of guys like him …
Sorry for your loss. But you were blessed with 40 yrs. Happy Thanksgiving ❤
I love that he’s putting in the work to try to improve his quality of life, for him and for both of you.
A relationship that makes you laugh like this is a happy one.
I agree 100%.
What a sweetheart he is. Simple, honest, and to the point. I lost it with "the hands on a clock!" What a good friend you are, lady!❤
BTW Happy Thanksgiving ❤
“I lost my mind over a hamburger bun”. 😂😂😂😂 I can totally relate. I love your ability to laugh at yourself. Your honesty is refreshing.
Darlene, we think Joe is a very sweet guy. Ever since you let us meet him.
So glad you now understand his bipolar and diabetes challenges he experiences. Not takinb it seriously is the smart thjng. It's his diseases. He loves you. Sweet Joe ❤

It WAS cute!! And you gave me a good laugh at the end of my day! You crack me up!
You made me laugh watching you bust a gut! I think it’s fantastic the extensive therapy program Joe is embracing.
You had me laughing so hard when you were laughing. So YES laughter is very contagious!!!! lol 😂

Ole “blue eyes” has your heart ❤. What a sweet note, even with the blanks lol.
Maybe he is reserving judgements before he fills in the blanks 😂, but how sweet and nice that he is aware of being grateful for you. Yeah I can see where it would crack you up, he probably thought basically the same thing like WTH is this assignment. A+ for Joe giving it the old college try.
I think there were so many good reasons that it overwhelmed him and he left it blank. 😂
I love to hear you speak about Joe. It's apparent by the look on your face how you feel about him.
Joe is a very social person and loves to help others. Sometimes the meds have to be changed every now and then. My brother was on a med that he had to get his blood checked every couple months. He doesn’t take that one anymore.
