If you don't have self-raising flour you can use plain flour and add 2.5 tsp's on baking powder.
Instead of snow cake flour you can use: 3/4 cup + 2tbps plain flour + 2 tbsp corn flour (for every 1 cup of snow cake flour).
    Hope that helps!

Pure as Snow cake flour I'm sure is just the name of the brand , like their Aunt Jemima' s self rising flour. Here in North America, Montreal , Quebec where I am we have names like Robin Hood, Monarch, Five Roses, (Brodie xxx they primarily make self rising flours) and then the generic store brands. Hope this helps :-)

Hi Hannah! If you don't have a mixer, using a whisk is just as effective. However it's different for the icing. It won't take on as light and fluffy a texture as you would with a mixer. If you want something close to the result you would get with a mixer, try letting your butter get really soft and add in your sugar in smaller amounts using a WOODEN SPOON. Hope I helped!!!

Can the flour mixture be sifted? Also could you say about how much ingredients weigh in ounces or grams next time.. If I wanted to promote this, I would do that. As far as frosting, the swirl seem to be too much, it is not art. It is baking. But I'm sure they taste good.

So I have to take cupcakes out in about 32 mins for Hershey's perfect chocolate cup cakes. Also, calibrate your oven to see if temp is right. Hope that helps. Basics of baking.
