Making this video really touching me.
This storyline of Kevin is really heartbreaking but so well written and Justin did an amazing job.
Like Justin Hartley said, we all know someone, if it's not ourself, who has been through or is living something like that.
Just so you know, if your in this situation, I want you to know you're not alone.
We just need a little help sometimes but that doesn't make us weak.
I know for sure that Kevin is going to be okay and so are you.
Keep fighting and don't give up.

I love how Kevin as a character is portraying high functioning depression accurately and showing how people don’t notice this type of depression.

Some people have complained about how the writers just keep throwing short-term relationships at Kevin, but that is the whole point. At first glance, he is your typical golden boy, rich, handsome and loved by women, so it is that much harder for anyone to see that he is suffering. He can't hold a relationship long enough because he doesn't know what he's looking for and he doesn't know what will make him happy. Every time he falls for a woman he probably hopes to feel at peace but somehow his soul remains restless. So when he unravels his deeply hidden grief for his dad's death, his feeling the odd one out his whole childhood (mom belongs to Randall, Kate belonged to dad), we come to realise that this highly functioning man is severely depressed. But once he helped himself, he was able to help everyone else. This is the part I love about Kevin the most. He wants to be the savior but in a less controlling way than Randall. Kevin has the highest levels of empathy on the show, I think. We take his golden boy image as a given, when in fact he appears to be the most complex, analytic character.

... He doesn't know what love is, and has the opportunity to develop a wonderful, long term relationship with Madison, but can't let himself feel it. He's an addict/alcoholic, and finds that same dopamine, release from having these serial, short term relationships with women to fulfill that same addict behavior. Somehow he still hasn't developed that part of him that can feel and admit to actual love, and have a lasting relationship.

Ive loved kevins character since the beginning he is just so alone nobody realizes just how damaged he really is he always had to keep it together since he was the "golden boy" but he is so much more complex and so much deeper than that it just hurts my heart

Out of all the characters I relate to Kevin the most. His childhood and how he felt like the odd one out in his own family... No one in his life thinks he’s really struggling and that he has it the easiest. He has severe depression yet he gets up and tries, no one notices until he breaks.
I read somewhere that someone didn't like Kevin and I was shocked. As soon as I started watching the show I fell in love with him. How could anyone dislike him?! This is amazing!

Kevin is the one who gets more "hate" from viewers between him Kate and Randall. Idk why... maybe because his problems are not obvious when we see him at first and he can seems to be selfish or pretentious for some people
But I agree with you he's my favorite character with Jack (even if I really life everyone on this show)
juniesparks434 I think he gets hate cause he doesn't show his struggles as much as others. He is less vocal about it because he is used to brushing it off and focusing on his siblings instead. He can't show his baggage because it is "insignificant" compared to Randall's anxiety, skin color, being adopted etc. Issues and Kate's weight issue. And as others have mentioned he comes out as superficial and the guy who loves attention and gets everything. When people meet him they instantly like him so he is "perfect" and because he has money and fame his struggles dont compare to "common people". People are also holding a grudge cause they hate how he treated Randall when they were young, because Randall was cute and sensitive and sweet as a kid.
I personally like Kevin the most from when they are adults, he just has so much depth to him. I like Randall when he was a little kid, but him as an adult gets me mad a lot.

I absolutely love Kevin's character development. In the beginning he really didnt seem to have many issues compared to the other two, he was just a rich guy that left his show. But the way his story has developed and we continue to see more layers of him, I think he has the most complex personal issues. He seems like a jerk for a long time, but there is a reason for the way he acts. So much to unpack with him

For Kevin, the death of his father Jack is not a "simple" mourning: the fact is that this death causes him a sense of inner emotional loneliness, because the other people around him are not enough for him; His father was the only one with whom he had a mental understanding, and he was the only figure who truly motivated him. Losing Jack means for Kevin losing those reasons and stimuli to feel really good...Jack was the only one who "realized" him...he has always been Randall's shadow (due to the fact that he is black , and Kate, due to her weight problems). Luckily, Kevin then finds this figure in Sophie

I love this. Thanks so much for letting me know. I probably wouldn't have found it otherwise. For some reason I can't watch it on mobile, but I watched it on my computer and the video is absolutely amazing and heartbreaking. I love all the "text" parts you picked and the song fits perfectly too. Kevin suffers so much and this video really captures what he has to go through. Poor Kev! I hope better days are coming for him.

It’s so wrong to assume that the person who doesn’t talk and have a way of doing things by him self that he doesn’t need help or there’s no pain in his life , while the ones who complain and talk about their pain and problems get all the attention and help and yet they don’t suffer like the ones with the shining picture and a broken heart 💔 I relate to kevin in somehow
This video is so accurate with protesting the time line and all the times people didn't notice Kevin was in pain, although at times it sounded like there was two song tracks playing at the same time... other than that great vid!!!

on sooo many levels. I cant stand Randall, and it's not for his color skin (as some silly people think), cause I juge a character by his story, his behaviour, his heart, and Kevin is so good!. Kevin, Jack and Rebecca are the best charcters of the whole show. And also Sophie of course
