Hey Tim, I'm in the process of buying a 1975 Convert. It's been sitting of course. Got a good bit of cleaning and work to do on it also. I had a 72' Eldorado and now own a 2021 V7 850. I like to keep mine as close to original as possible. Following your journey on this one.

I think it's pretty cool old school. It's different and I like that. My other Convert is pretty much stock so I'm having fun with this one.
