My best guy friend of 15 years tried to get out of that zone but it disgusted me. I never looked at him in that way because he was like a brother to me. After that, it was not the same and we are not friends anymore. I wish that he'd just kept his feelings to himself. It's very hard to transition from friend to lover. I hope it works out for Chante because it sounds like a good foundation if you can look at the person as more than just a friend.

Chante is not underrated. She found success and acclaim in the 80s. Regrettably, the music industry is unforgiving and audience's taste change. We can run a list of talented artists that the industry effectively cancelled from that era. Nowadays artists bypass the industry altogether and stream directly to their audience or negotiate contracts without the label involved. I'd love to see a comeback with collaborations with different artists to appeal to a new audience. She says she's an alto but her range is incredible. She may have laid the blueprint for Mariah.

Not much info on SH at all, just that he is 60 years old, if he has not been married before run for the hills. I'm sure it is slim pickings for famous black women in general, especially as Chante' said she was single for 12 years. Beyonce managed to snag Jay Z, Rihanna A$ap rocky, says it all doesn't it. The only ones to get luckyish are Nicole Ari Parker and Jada Smith....the rest are like...really, no other black men with some kind of looks?
