Tbh there are better examples even from the same company. Just look at their Game Of Thrones dragon. Usually they use marbled pieces with unique colours to make more natural looking builds, idk why they decided not to do that for these natural creatures. Their prices are usually better and their figures are the best by far (though they wouldn't scale with Godzilla lol). I feel like they tried to cater towards Lego more with these but that led to a lot of missed potential imo.
0:25 actually a lot of scenes were based off of the movie the beast from 20,000 fathoms and it was mostly an inspiration, but also king kong was a huge inspiration also

I've been improving this build since 2010 (2010 was the only time I built this physically) then in 2014 I started making it digitally across the years in different formats and improvements and then this is the latest one. Warner bros owns the ip to the two original 1933 king kong films and they want to make more games so imagine if it gets to 10k then becomes real and maybe they even turn it into a game haha. I hope this time I can actually reach 10k but can only reach if people share it so thank you for agreeing to do so.
@@StuddedGarage I also recently made a set as a collab which is find-able if you search: godzilla anniversary It includes king ghidorah, zilla, mecha godzilla etc. If you want you could maybe combo them both into separate video using godzilla as thumbnail or a mix. Probably would bring more views than just kong. But up to you.
For having mega construx can provide all print pieces in their sets for quite some years, i found a lot of youtubers said lego refringed to stickers because of cost issues make me think they try to make fool of consumers knowing lego is even more expensive than mega on piece count.
There's definitely a way to mod that tail to work better. But those large huge gaps between the segments on Godzilla are just too much. They should've looked how Lego did their T rex Jurassic park dino. That could be a good reference to mod and improve this godzilla. EDIT. I stand corrected. My bad. Looks like the Lego T rex Jurassic similar in piece count to this godzilla does have huge gaps too. The other TREX lego, bigger, 3000 pieces, does have it more streamlined, small, tiny gaps. Due to the huge piece count though.

I had got mine on Amazon which was $49.99. I know Big Bad Toy Store will have some too but they’re $51 each. Technically that should be closer to £40. The higher price may have something to do with logistics within the company but shop.mattel.com/collections/mega will have more local purchasing details.
The tail is like that because it is supposed to be on 2 by 1 brick fully, not partially on the 2 by 1 ball joint connector piece, and on the 2 by 1 piece
It would’ve been cool if they made Godzillas thighs beefier like how they really are and blue spikes and red flame breath so you could change them out for different forms
Oof. That Godzilla has some flaws indeed. Hopefully they make another from the previous films that is improved. I would also like to see Mega make sets of the other previous monsters as well.
Kong does have some flaws to his build like his shoulders has big gaps also kinda irritating but have to say both builds are good very rewarding with godzilla having the most flaws 👍
These two are a great example of alternative construction toy brands! The rubber at the Godzilla's tail is really a flaw though
Especially since they do themes that LEGO avoids! Hopefully quirks like the rubber tail are ironed out for future sets.

I think Godzilla's tail should have had one more chunk to it. I may get another set just to add the additional section to add length to the tail.
