Single
Wacana merilis karya-karya Vira Talisa melalui Orange Cliff sempat lama menjadi bahasan dan gurauan diantara kami sejak dirilis ulangnya album Future Collective pada awal 2015 kemarin. Beach Boys, Dinah Shore, Brigitte Bardot, Burzum, Napalm Death, dan Francoise Hardy merupakan sebagian dari sekian banyak nama yang kami lempar ketika pertama kali menemukan dan mendengarkan karya Vira pertama kali di Soundcloud pada saat itu. Metode rekaman yang cenderung minimalis, vokal dan permainan yang terkesan effortless (dan terkadang sloppy), hingga pemilihan lagu-lagu cover yang pintar, trilingual (yang sangat rawan fail dalam eksekusinya), dan tereferensi dengan baik benar-benar membuat kami ingin ikut berkontribusi dalam jejak perjalanan seorang Vira Talisa.
Single “Walking Back Home” merupakan single pertama dari EP self-titled perdana Vira Talisa yang akan dirilis oleh Orange Cliff Records Desember nanti. “Walking Back Home”, sebagaimana lagu-lagu lain dalam EP tersebut, ditulis sendiri oleh Vira Talisa dengan dibantu oleh Romain Baousson dalam proses aransemen,rekaman, dan mixing. Proses mastering dikerjakan oleh Julien Courtois di Rennes, Perancis, dan artwork cover dikerjakan oleh Ardneks / Kendra Ahimsa. Walaupun sudah pernah dirilis sebelumnya melalui akun soundcloud Vira, “Walking Back Home” dan juga beberapa lagu lain di dalam EP merupakan versi aransemen ulang yang lebih matang dan direkam dengan lebih 'proper'.

Sebenarnya di Indo banyak bgt yg punya angelic voice kyk gini, tapi debutnya kurang terekspos dan terpaksa banting setir. Ini krn culture Indo jg yg lebih prefer ngeviralin hal-hal bodoh di sosmed ketimbang seni.

The singer looks and sounds just like a 60's/70's singer called Pen Ran in my country of Cambodia. This is how I imagine how the song would sound like if Pen Ran sings a Khmer version of this song. She also gives off the vibes of other fellow singers such as Ros Sereysothea, Mao Sareth, and Huoy Meas. I love Pen Ran so much and for a song to show Pen Ran vibes, I love it to bits. 9/10 for sounding like an old 60's Khmer song that they play at weddings.

“the night was brighter when you lingered” things were intense when the idea of the person she loved lingered within her, “love was a mystery till you walked by my side” she didnt know anything about romantic love until she met this person, “but now my hearts singing and tonight i’ll be fine without you im walking back home” she now is fine without the person she loved (seemingly they broke up) and now shes able to find peace and comfort in herself and the thought of them doesnt linger anymore or doesnt hurt when she thinks about the love they had
just what I think about the song, i don't see anyone put an analysis on the lyrics it's pretty nice and straightforward I think, also I hate that its only two minutes I have to put it on repeat for an hour until I feel satisfied
“and walking back home” shes able to find comfort and safety in things alone without this person (probably herself) and she doesnt need them to feel safe anymore and is secure in herself.
