I just cry daily over this. I want to thank Bernie Sanders. Thank you sir for fighting for us. I lost my job not because of covid but because I got stage 4 cervical cancer with mets to my bladder and could not work while taking daily radiation and chemo. Then my insurance dropped me over suspicious terms right after my diagnosis, I was denied for medicaid because my husband works and now has to support himself, me and our 4 children. I've never received government benefits before but I had no choice but to try. And I was denied for that as well. Now we are $400,000.00 in debt so far because of me being sick, we can't afford the medicine I'm supposed to take monthly. And we also have a special needs toddler who is completely immobile and has cerebral palsy . My husband has to work so we can eat. I'm to sick and cant go out around covid or I will die if i get it so i cant take her to her visits she needs. Our waters been shut off 3x and turned back on with family help. But now we are loosing our home and noone can just take in a family of 6. 1 of which has stage 4 cancer and the other a toddler who is severely special needs and needs 24/7 care. We can't afford rent here anymore. The landlord just wants us out. And we have no money in our banking account or savings to move. None. I suffer with severe pain and nausea because I cant get to appointments when I need to because my husband cant take off to keep our 4 kids and we cant afford the medicine when it's written for me. Raising the checks to $2000.00 would allow us to stay in our home or find a cheaper one and move in it. We are having to choose between food, health care and a home. In America this should not happen. And I'm not alone.others are suffering just as much. I've never felt so alone in my life.
