      @@karolinaprzybylok489 I was working on your study guide. By the way, I finished the pronunciation thing you asked me to do. Are you going to be at DSFL tomorrow? By the way, Cecelia is out with COVID and her kids are refusing to get tested. Just thought you should know. I will say hi to the girls.

      @@laurenwisniewski2148 That explains it! Thank you for doing the packet. I can't believe Cecelia has it. Let me know if she is planning on coming tomorrow, even though I can't make it. Her kids cannot come until they have tested negative.

      @@karolinaprzybylok489 Yeah, I don't know. Ana better not be there if she is going to interrupt again. I think I am going to be a sub for tomorrow. Aleksandra is out of town, so she won't be there. Call me when you get the chance. We have to chat.

    When it comes to feminine gender in words ending on -Ć, I think it is important to say, that it is not only last letter -Ć, but two last letter -ŚĆ, because in Polish there is a big group of nouns ending -OŚĆ, which mean different state or general idea like:
    MIŁOŚĆ - love
    ZŁOŚĆ - anger
    STAŁOŚĆ - stability, state of stability
    WIELKOŚĆ - size, quantity, value
    ŁĄCZNOŚĆ - communication
    And there are always feminine. Exception: GOŚĆ - guest (is masculine).

    • @PolishwithMonika
      @PolishwithMonika  ปีที่แล้ว

      True, the majority -ŚĆ nouns are feminine, like miłość, powieść, część, treść.
      Only a few masculine -ŚĆ nouns: gość, jegomość, liść, teść.
      There are also some -Ć feminine nouns, like mać, sieć, wilgoć, postać, płeć, pamięć, nić, żółć, śmierć, ćwierć.
      But there also some masculine -Ć nouns like: zięć, kapeć, łokieć, paznokieć, śmieć.

    • @bartomiejbonski6791
      @bartomiejbonski6791 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes.
      -OŚĆ, -AŚĆ, -EŚĆ, -ĘŚĆ - feminine: stable rule, only several exeptions
      -Ć not ŚĆ - differently: feminine or masculine (50/50)
