You should try the click method, where you click a pen or something when you make a mistake, it will show a big line in your audio file so it's easier to find the mistake. I hope I explained that right and that it makes sense 😅

I don’t have any real experience editing audio, but on a school project, where we created a small audio book, our teacher told us to be silent after a mistake. That way you can see where you made a mistake when editing and don’t have to listen to the whole thing. Hope this helps, your Podfics are amazing

You can pause your recording every time you make a mistake, then do the silence click/clap/scream of anger method as needed to show yourself where you got back on track. Hoping your university experience goes well.

Great job as always!! I always love how at the end you gush about the fic. Your positive energy is infectious. I don't know anything about editing, but also know that it's not the end of the world if you leave a mistake in. I'm a perfectionist myself, so I personally cannot internalize this fact, but when I hear a mistake I just usually think of it the same way as when you find a little easter egg in a game, if that makes sense? It's a fun little thing that shows it's yours!

I have never had to edit audio before, but I have seen a video on something I think he called the clicker method. where he uses a dog clicker right after he makes a mistake and then it is way easier to find it in the recording 😅😅

As far as editing go either take a pause or make a weird noise so you can see the audio dip/spike or have a timer with a lap feature and read normally but every time you flub click lap and when you done edit the parts you made note of with the lap function this would at least make the first pass go faster the only other option would be potentially getting an editor
I saw a video of someone saying when you record the audio every time you make a mistake klap or snap near the mic. Then when you edit you can see clearly where the mistakes are and if you make the mistake multiple times, every time you add a klap. so First time it's 1 then after that it's 2 ,idk if that makes sense, if it does hope it helps

try clapping when you make a mistake so it peaks on the mic and you can do a once over and trim out the mistakes you clapped for, then give it a listen and tweak whatever you need and bam- disclaim i haven't edited a youtube video before, so this may not work, but it may be worth trying-
1:09 the fact that I know that this is exactly around 5 o’clock is really funny because I stay up all night and sleep during the day and when it’s summer, I have my window open to let the cool night Erin so I’ve been recording every day approximately around when the birds start chirping and I found that it’s almost like exactly at 5 AM never before 5 AM but almost at 5 AM exactly 😂 so I know that he’s probably at the beach running at around 5 AM to 6 AM because that’s when the birds start chirping the most in the morning I have yet to log when they stop chirping as much because I’m usually asleep by then bc the light comes out 😂😅
