I had the same thought as well immediately lmao But I guess it's just for aesthetic purposes, since it actually does work through the side, even if it's kinda weird.
I have already built a car a while ago. Thus far satisfied with its power, even goes pretty quick if I tow a full water tank pretty much the same size as the car, so that I can use it as a fire engine (or alternatively I could modify the water tank a bit to be a diesel tank) as well. But the next really essential thing is going to be a land-based heavylifter that can load containers onto train carriages (I have a train engine built, and the carriages could at worst be workshop carriages but I may build one), and... guess what. I made a butter-smooth landing in my seaplane following a cooling system deficiency and eventual engine failure... In the forest of the Sawyer Islands. In campaign. Luckily no rescued civilians were injured so I could hitchike with them to a hospital, and I could call in a rescue service to take me home (thanks NJ) with money to spare. So now I need something of a truck, or at least a winched truck bed pulled by my little 4x4 car, to extract the abandoned plane from the forest and scrap it for money at the nearest outpost. Hopefully I'll have the money to buy a Sawyer Island airbase/port along with the vehicle expenses, but at least the vehicles then; the extrator, and a goddamn ferry that takes it on water to a far-ass owned outpost. Best thing I have so far for that is either an unpowered barge or a ferry too narrow. So I probs gotta make a truck, a crane, a forklift kinda stuff, a wide ass ferry... and a lot of testing. And a service door that opens up the engine nacelle of my plane so I can actually fix the damn thing. lol What a long way though to say "same, I kinda want a truck too". lol
One thing I have found is that it is useless to keep fire extinguishers anywhere near an engine that can catch fire, if it does you will probably die trying to get to it.
@@Fransenn Heat from the fire will hurt you from a pretty good distance, making fighting fires in an enclosed space difficult. Especially if the fire extinguisher is in the same place as a fire is likely to be bad (engine, batteries, etc).
@@neonsamurai1348 Yes totally. but it is possible. and on larger ships with many tight spaces make sure to have firefighting equipment to make things easier

I know you can't pull trains off the tracks (or rails ) but can you make a high railer here in storm works? The thing you made here would be perfect to modify into a hauler and make it where you can haul a flatbed full of something and still pull a train car or two to somewhere else. Plus i just thought it would give a challenge. XD

puts the blowtorch and the extinguisher in a place where needs things working correctly to be able to get them... smart.
you can access them without tilting the cabin. they are hidden from the eye, but accessable, you just need to know, that they are there.

I think an offroad version of this truck would be nice, for places without roads and more power to climb hills

So cool with trailer
I cant wait till next challenge!
Great video
You should definitely try to build a side loader for containers.
Truck looks really nice great job!
man, if only my computer could run stormworks at the moment. I'd be building my own diesel electric semi.
love the truck nd would love to see a video of you making the adjustments to the style and versatility of this awesome creation...
How does one get paintable indicator style headlights to actually emit light beams?
1300 liters! And you are worried about getting to Sawyer North?
Ah yes its because the engines are so inefficient compared to real life engines.
On the fuel tank it is written, FLAMMABLE
Crane version would be great without discarding the trailer connection base. But it could be hard to fit a crane in that narrow area.
Make it longer?
You have got a good amount of empty space on the rpm display, why not use that space for temperature?
Could you link the trailer please? I've already got the M cab now I just need the trailer!
It’s linked on the workshop description of the truck.
