This is quite literally a "side quest" I've actually been looking at issues on my birth month and year. I've been going by date on the cover not release date. Sweet video

I like that idea to collect certain books based on a personal milestone. I started something similar late last year which is getting signed copies by the artist of the comics that were influential to me when I started collecting in the 90s. Its been a fun way to collect and I'm glad you got some great books to celebrate your "release date" 🍻

Finding a different gimmick or way to collect I think can be a ton of fun and even renew collecting for someone that either new or been doing it for a while.

@@SideQuestComicsChat Yea, I thought about doing that for all my kids and my wife's birthday and my anniversary as well. I am finding that some are not as bad as I thought, especially the DC ones, But I'm a Marvel guy at heart.

Great video. I have thought of doing the same thing. I think if I do I will go with the month that is on the cover. For me it would be April of '71........I'm older than you. lol
