Marvelous demonstration of prototypical operation done on the model! With a layout like this and a selection of railcars, a person can stay busy for years!
Obviously a massive amount of work has produced a spectacular set of scenes... Congratulation on an excellent project... You motivate all modellers to "Take it to the Max."
Any chance of getting the info on the switcher Brand name and decoder used? Unlikely as it seems people like to show there stuff but not share how others can have the same, doesn’t hurt to ask I guess. Nice layout.
Turns out there is a web site for this MR. Owner died sometime back. The web site has a lot of different sections to it with a lot of photos. The loco is a Grandt Line switcher. Don't know about the decoder.
Watching again on Nov. 7, 2017. Now there is a vertical dotted blue line on screen which stays in front of loco !! What's this ? !!! Anyway, Wolfgang was a MRR genius..
WOW! What a great layout! Please tell us the secret for your 25ton run so smooth. Even the real one shakes more than yours! :)) Sheers from Brazil! Stenio
THAT is, hands down, got to be the nicest little switcher I've ever seen !!! I bet you guys fight over who gets to work with that little gem !!! What is it ?
yours is one of the best Model railroads in the world... I really wish that Allen Keller would do a video layout tour of yours. I would get a huge kick out of seeing it up on a bigger screen and idea of the system map for it. Would they really make that small little one go THAT far to get single hopper? wouldn't they just bring the 44 tonner out and not force so much of that little guy? just curious
who makes the wire fencing? I like your layout a lot, good colouring, thats my weakness. getting road shading right is really hard, yours look convincing although real roads are a mix of shades and are rarely flat!!
Always a pleasure to watch ... imagination soars with your fine detailing ...
Shows how beautiful model trains really can be
Miss this modeler very much. I am grateful his webpage is still up and running.
RIP Wolfgang
I found one of his boxcars on ebay WT238. I will treasure it
Very creatively designed layout. Brilliant street-running portion!
I absolutly LOVE that critter, and your layout, great track plan! Bravo.

Impressive. I could never afford to do this, but I am having fun with what I can afford!

That little switcher though, fantastic!
The little engine that could! Love to have one or more of those!
AMAZING scenery!!! Flawlessly executed!!!
the 25 ton switcher is the perfect touch to your layout , great job , your hard work was worth the outcome.
Wow, that was fantastic! What an awesome little engine!
excellent track work, i love the scratchbuilt ge-25 ton. I love the street running parts, also the 5%! grade ha! good job.

Fantastic. Great layout, great video work and moving at prototype speed, thank God.
Nice layout & great details!!
This was a joy to watch!!! KOOL!!!
That little GE needs a "red ant" logo on it. The last part of the video answered my question of if it could handle more than one car and it shoved 4!
great layout! great locomotive!!!Congratulation
👍 so cute the train😊
Really nice job!
What a great realistic operation.
prima, nice video, great job, Wolfgang!!!!

I'm extremely impressed!
interesting historical record of vanished layouts, industries, and railroads
Don’t know if you saw the description at the end, but the critter is scratch built. The decoder you probably will have to do a little research on.
Amazing lifelike!
Nice loco. We have one in real life at the Hart of Dixe Railroad in Calera AL.
A nicely inspired plot.

very cool! 👍👍😎
That hogger must only be using his feet to run that switcher because his head & arms are always outside his window. >)
He better be using his FEET to run that switcher!

LED light causing burn in CCD of video camera, very common in old equipment , rare nowadays

Beautiful scrratchbuild job on this little critter. I wonder what (or who's) parts they used to do the build?
i have a question what do you use for the grass and gravle under the tracks and for the roads
THAT is, hands down, got to be the nicest little switcher I've ever seen !!!
I bet you guys fight over who gets to work with that little gem !!!
What is it ?
25 ton
Nice layout! Really nice is the job you've done on that tiny switcher! It doesn't actually have sound does it??

Do you know what the blue dashed line running up the screen came from? Nice video, nice railroad!
more info on this 25 tonner and sound please
If the engineer leans much further he'll fall out the cab!
WOW!
how much would it cost to buy a copy of your engine???
Can you show me how to operate a model train
who makes the wire fencing?
