I had a similar setup years ago with a light bulb keeping a small area area where my water source was,I found the bulbs on 24 hrs a day lasted about 34,35 days, the first of every month we put in a new bulb,never had much problems,(I live by Appleton)

Nice! Yeah we usually change out the light bulb once a year. 60 watt regular bulb seems to work for us.
