A lot of American names are elaborate worldplay or references that work in English but likely don't translate well, e.g "Wario Land: Shake It!" "Yoshi's Universal Gravitation" is still pretty funny though. Also I have no idea why they added "Bros" to every Mario and Luigi title in Europe since Dream Team.
And sometimes the name they go with is stupid as hell. For example, why is the second Spyro game named after the starting level in Europe anyway? Makes no damn sense.
I'm British and I didn't even know Yoshi Topsy-Turvy was a thing, let alone it being called Universal Gravitation in non-American countries. So many Nintendo games with different titles between PAL and NTSC versions!
The Search Party levels are neat on paper, but super difficult in execution. I managed to beat 3/4 without a guide or using online, but each one took 10-20 minutes. For the last Search Party, I used the Sensor Badge after 20 minutes. I love the music though. It’s catchy thinking music.

I always imagined the reason european releases of games sometimes changed their name was due to region locking, where sometimes PAL copies wouldn't work on US consoles and vice versa. The changed name makes it immediately evident whether you're buying a PAL copy or a US one, in scenarios like purchasing a game online. Among other reasons to need to know that information like overseas shipping. That, plus oftentimes games are translated entirely differently by NOA than by NOE, such as in Pikmin 3 and Rhythm Heaven Fever. Wouldn't you know it, Fever is one such case of that, being called "Beat the Beat Rhythm Paradise", I believe.

Iwata asked "Monado: Beginning of the World" to be renamed to be more in line with those games, giving us Xenoblade. When it was localized in Europe, they added Chronicles to the title. That's the part I don't get
I kind of hate the Kirby names we get here, like Squeak Squad as 'Mouse Attack' which is far too close to Mass Attack, or Kirby's Adventure Wii which wrongly suggests it's a sequel to or remake of Kirby's Adventure

The search party levels are not intended to be played single player. That's just a fact. You can absolutely feel how they were designed around the player ghosts that you have online especially if you had the online turned on the first time. Like, all respect to anyone who did figure it out on their own, but they go from tedious and unsatisfying to really fun romps around, especially if someone else already beat the level. You have the option to ignore the others and go your own way, but once you've all found a few you regroup and the others show you where the secrets are and its just cute and fun. It only hits if you do it the first go round, though

I had to do the same thing. This was a cool concept, but it really doesn't work if you're playing offline.
