i’m not a big fan of most western disciplines, especially barrel racing and other games, but reining, cutting, and competitive cow people are such fantastic and beautiful riders, and take phenomenal care of their horses. any sport that showcases a dressage foundation to the nth degree really is top notch.
Random question what kinds of saddle pads do Reiners use? It looks like a simple blanket but at other angles it looks thicker do they put them on over their usual saddle pads? Or is there a certain type of pad/blanket they use?
Sarah Gilmore lol it's a normal Wester saddle pad with a show pad over top of it. Underneath is a thick saddle pad and on top it's a thin show pad. The show pad is so you match your horses look.
