For all those that are interested, read The Rugged Trail (Vol 3) by Elma W. Baker. Our oldest known Grandfather Alexander Baker arrived in the Plymouth Colony in 1635 just 15 yrs after the Mayflower landed. 155 years later ( 1790) David Baker and his wife Mary Webb Baker moved to North Carolina where they built a Log Cabin and later founded the Town of Baskerville. Martin Baker a son or grandson of David Baker had heard about all the free land that was available in Texas so around 1859, he and about 6 other families headed to Weatherford Texas to claim their fist piece of property. Its very interesting to be able to trace my families history and see how they were some of the first people too settle Texas.
That big white house is no longer a bed and breakfast and I don't think it has been any time recently. That house belongs to very close family friends and I've known them my whole life and as long as I've been going to that house it never was.
