I've seen a lot of comments about quests: you were allowed to complete as well as almost complete quests beforehand, just not gain any levels beforehand! It greatly added to the theory crafting of the competition, but that's why you see these players complete quest after quest only seconds apart!
For the next one, possibly put in a stipulation that you can't use an obscure item on the GE to basically "merch" it to an alt? Otherwise I'm sure it's possible to find something with no offers in and sell it to yourself for any amount of money.
@@raf42 He said you were allowed to transfer items and GP to the account before starting, so there's not really anything to gain from doing what you're saying.

So all those levels actually took waaaay longer than an hour, and instead of seeing who could gain the most lvls in an hour it's who can do more stuff before starting the time in an unspecified amount of time.

Money didn't really decide this one though. Who plays best within the given rules wins. The prep for these runs really isn't that much about gp, but the grind to complete the quests with no level gain. If you're so lazy that you can't get together 10m for prep, what makes you think you deserve to win the 2147m prize? There are tons of people who are willing to give it a solid attempt instead of some half ass goblin killing spree for 75 total in one hour.
@@kanqquperze I don't even play osrs I just watch sir pugger because I've been a fan of him when you were still wearing diapers. 10m might be a small amount for you but there are still people that don't have this advantage at all. You suggest what? Buy bonds to make this pay to win? Again... challenges from Puggers are very entertaining and cool to watch, but some people, like me, prefer when it's not pay to win.

As a participant, I thought I did good research, but I didn't realize dragon slayer and frem trials were possible to be ready to turn in at minimum total level. Well done to the people who managed 600+! Requires research, planning and practicing the route, timing everything... so much went into the top runs. Impressive stuff.

this man is right, you are all wrong. Being able to transfer items and money, supplies etc is straight up broken and gives rich players the edge on the challenge, which, are the players who deserve the money the least. Definitely stupid and it takes away the challenge of it, the winner literally planned it out with an entire clan of people while simultaneously transferring over a crap ton of supplies, and that's somehow supposed to be fair lmao.

Nice solo effort when they account shared and prepped it together. 59 raids kc already takes 30 hours and from own experience i would estimate that they already took 60+ hours to prep the rest of the account in a 7 day week.

Its just a different ruleset, man. Requires thinking of an entirely different strategy than a no-prep, from scratch run.

i dont think this video is real. you cant complete some of these quests without having pre-reqs. and getting those pre-reqs alone arent possible within 1 hour. lol
@@waynewu7763 but you could make anything before timer start. And timer start only when you level anything up. So you could precomplete any quest and just finish when timer is already start.
Yeah, that could be a somewhat noncool, but that is a rules, like you glitch-free speedruns and non-glitch one - here you need to prepare anything you could before start and planning is a part of fun. And you need to prepare it without leveling up.
But, IMHO, "pure" speedruns is more interesting nontheless :)

@@branch7628 Well define legit. Fairly sure everyone who entered had mains already. For things like cox you can easily find teams willing to take you for free even if you know nobody. For dangerous areas where you need someone to tank for example just use one main. If you need to lower monster stats or something, again one main is plenty. I can't think of any scenarios where you'd need significant amounts of gp or several accounts to gain an edge.

Iron dagger (p++) and recoils, a lot of food, so chocolate cakes, brews to overheal when monsters had a max hit of 10, and purple sweets.
This was my thought considering d slayer needs qps already to even start it?
@@Providenza They were allowed to quest beforehand. You need 32 qp to start it, and im assuming he had 32 qp from other random quests that did not grant xp to enable him to almost complete the quest. I believe that would have been possible. Look at the RS wiki page for quests that don't reward XP. I think you can get 32 QP as a level 3 without gaining xp.
I did quests to get 32 qp that granted no xp then for Elvarg suicided piles of food and killed him with recoils, iron dagger p++, Sara brews and purple sweets

@@branch7628 Its fair. Read the expanded ruleset (0:26). You can use alts before you get the first level and start the timer.
I thought the second guy should have been DQed for doing the CoX thing until I read the long version of the rules.
And before you say you don't like the rules in this one (I read your other comments) its just a different set of rules that requires a different strategy and planning than from scratch, which Pugger hinted that he may do as well.
