I LOVE all your socks! I have been knitting Colorwork Cuff Club socks, too. I need lots more practice with the colorwork, so that It isn’t too tight, but I am improving each month. Thanks for sharing!
Hello from BC. I’ve been enjoying your channel for a while and have started knitting again. I love knitting socks - almost instant gratification 😊. Do you purchase yarn online from the US? Any issues with customs?
Wow! You have inspired me to really get into Summer Lee’s book. I really struggle with color work, as I knit very tightly. Recently I saw a tutorial on knitting color work inside out. I’m going to try it. All of your socks look amazing. I really enjoy your post, thank you ❤
Thank you! Getting your tension to work for socks can be a challenge. Knitting on a slightly larger needle for the colorwork sections might also help. I knit most of the sock on 2.25 mm needles and go up to 2.5 mm for the colorwork sections might. Summer suggests a 2.75 mm needle for the stranded parts. It might help to try a few methods to see what works for you.
The Linea socks from her book were my New Years cast on and my first colorwork socks. I'm having an absolute ball! So excited to get to more intricate designs soon, thanks for sharing lovely colorful inspiration!
Wonderful socks. I love Summer Lee’s patterns, I have knit several myself. Last year I knit 30 pairs of socks, my goal was 12! I am on my second pair of this month colour work cuff club socks, they are such a fun design.
In ten or fifteen years I have knitted 6 pairs of socks. I tried for the past 2 years to concentrate on socks but both years I was sidelined by some health issues. I found Summer Lees channel in 2024 and bought her book after I had bout 2 other sock books. Once again for 2025 I plan to improve on my sock knitting skills and productivity. I have 2 pairs almost completed….. they were started in summer and fall of 2024.;HaHa🧶 Your video is inspiring me
I bought her book but haven’t made any of her socks but the plain vanilla sock that she has for free on Ravelry. I bought the colorwork cuff club today and started on January’s sock. It’s so much fun! I can’t wait to see what she puts in book two!
Great work. I also like Summer Lee's soch designs. Somehow I missed the cuff a month that started in August. I bought it January 1st and as I watch this I am just casting off the toes of the August pair. Next I want to do January and then go back a knit a few others. As you also do, I knit other garments and accessories. Happy New Year
Hi, I’m a first time viewer, and now subscribed. I loved the info on your socks. Your beautiful projects and details have convinced me to purchase her book. I’m also anxious to learn about book 2 when it’s published. Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year. Terry, from Knutsford, near Kamloops BC
Happy New Year ! Great work !! You did a very good job. Love all your socks !! Knitting up as many of Summer’s socks as possible is one of my knitting resolutions for 2025 😊. I have already started last December with the Surf Wax Socks. As I’ve finished the second sock (the pair) this Friday (Jan 3), I will include them in my 2025 list as the January sock 😂. Happy to find your channel and already subscribed ❤🎉
I, too, am enthralled with Summer Lee’s book, patterns and her CCC club. How do you get so many socks done?? It normally takes me 4-6 weeks to get a pair done. Of course I always other projects on the needles but I would be had pressed to get more than one pair done a month. I’m envious!
Well, I think I am a pretty fast knitter as well but you win! My goal this year is a pair of socks each month. I broke my lest wrist (non dominant) mid-December and am still in a cast so January might be a bust! I am just now able to prop my left wrist with needle in hand and knit. Slow but sure! 😉
Summer Lee is my pretend Internet BFF. ;)
Me too!!

I think I can be inconsistent with the color work too. Practice always helps. Thanks for watching!
That was a fun podcast. Thanks
Thanks!

I do sometimes buy yarn from the US. The only issue I’ve had with Customs is having to pay them when the yarn arrives.
Congratulations. Great work. Liked every pair.
Thank you!!
Gorgeous recap! I'm loving Summer Lee's book and CCC too.
Thank you! Her patterns are so fun!
I'm in Edmonton as well.😊 I just got Summers book recently. It's so well made. I'm not sure if you saw, but she's coming out with a second book!
Yes! I’m looking forward to it!
Happy New Year, from Swansea, Illinois. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thanks so much for watching! I find that Summer’s color palette is helping me stretch my own color choices.

Wow!! Nice work! What colors are you using for the January socks? I’m still trying to decide.

Thank you! There’s no rush to knit socks. I was really inspired by patterns this year and knit more socks than I normally would.

Thanks for watching!! I’m really looking forward to the second book. There are still a few patterns I’d like to make from the first one.

I’m a pretty fast knitter. And I manage to fit it in during meeting and watching my kids sports. It all adds up.

Take care of yourself. Socks can wait until you’re healed.
wow, well done. what size needle did you settle on?
For fingering weight socks I use 2.25 mm needles. When I knit colorwork I use a 2.5 mm 9 inch circular.
