Looks pretty interesting. Glad someone's trying different themes other than trading in the Mediterranean / historical themes for what looks to be a fairly standard (but with clever mechanisms) cube pusher. I'd like to try it out.
Just bought it. Loooove the components.
I'm feeling better about backing this. I'm not a euro fan but this one had enough interesting new mechanics for me and the components looked awesome. Also that theme - it was great to see designers try a new theme. It felt like we'd gone a few years without anyone trying a really interesting new theme.
I like the new outro!
I’m loving the theme :)
Those black and "gold" skulls look very close in colors. With bad lighting, I suspect some players will have problems
We've checked it out in low light a good bit and there shouldn't be an any real-world problems between the colors.
@@Pandasaurusgames Good to know, but would have prefered a more gold color, rather than bronze
I agree. I just unboxed the game and thought the gold were missing. I may paint them so we can tell the difference. I usually play at a game tavern with low lighting.
Awesome components
Are you guys going to do a review of the JAWS game? Waiting to hear your thoughts before I pull the trigger.
The fresh prince wasn't looking too fresh. At least it has a bit of hunour along with the dark theme to lift it a bit.
So glad I didn't back this especially after the Minerva debacle.
Pieces included "just for fun" translates to "We decided to charge you a little more for these pieces that serve no function, you're welcome!"
Joseph Lynn I mean Tom said it was spare space on the punchboard...
@@charlieinnes4378 So the artist designed those for free? The designers worked for free when arranging the punch board during china distribution? All actions in a games production are billable. Otherwise a company will go bankrupt. When you get a game, every aspect of it is translated into how much you paid for it.
I like the idea to add a little extra bling to make the setup look a little nicer. Sure we gonna pay for it, but most of aesthetic choices do not serve a necessary purpose other than to let the theme come across.
The per copy cost of adding the artwork and having our graphic designer lay it out is hilariously small. Probably close to a penny or so per copy printed.
This is a Pandasaurus game - their biggest game to date was Dinosaur Island and it had four or five different Dino shaped meeples when one would have done the job. I don't think a cardboard hallway is going to break them.
